Active Training and Education Trust

ACTIVE Training and Education Trust (ATE) is a not-for-profit, educational trust, which provides residential holidays to children of a school age within the United Kingdom. These holidays are called "Superweeks". ATE aims to bring together children from a wide variety of geographical and cultural backgrounds to enjoy and learn from each other's company in a safe and caring environment.

Young Gifted and Talented (YGT)

All ATE Superweeks are accredited by YGT as Young Gifted and Talented provision.

Holidays

ATE’s core activity is providing residential experience for children of a school age within the United Kingdom. ATE provide term-time "Schoolweeks" which are attended by groups of children from a school or group of schools, accompanied by their teachers, and "Superweeks" which children attend individually or in small groups during the school holidays. "Superweeks" are residential holidays (one at Easter and lots in the summer) that take place in country houses and mansions at various locations around the United Kingdom. The holidays are designed for children aged 8 to 16 years and provide a period of fresh air, fun and communal living with other children from a wide variety of backgrounds and outlooks. Some "Superweeks" have special themes, and all of them focus on the value and importance of play, and all feature, amongst many other activities, singing as a social activity which all children can and enjoy and benefit from. The current UK "Superweek" centres are Moor Park (Worcestshire), Bredenbury Court (Worcestershire), Frank's Place (Malvern) and The Downs (Worcestershire)
