Aaron Shang
Aaron Shang (born August 5, 1996) is a Chinese American actor and singer.
Career
Beginning in the early 2000's, Aaron has appeared in numerous Chinese, American, and British film and TV productions. Best known for his co-starring role in the award-winning Chinese historical drama show "Three Kingdoms", Shang has also appeared in numerous international feature films as supporting or minor characters, while also contributing to several productions as a musician. Though born in the United States, Aaron Shang is largely unknown outside of mainland China due to his limited experience in international films.
In the media
In early December 2012, unconfirmed reports that Shang was cast in the 2014 film adaptation of Godzilla surfaced and circulated online. These reports were officially denied by Xing Qun (Constellation) Agency on behalf of Shang, and subsequently removed.
Personal life
Aaron is a close relative of Chinese media mogul Ma Huateng, and is the only member of his generation yet to publicly announce a career in entertainment. In addition, his godmother is American actress Elizabeth Banks. An avid supporter of international humanitarian efforts, Aaron traveled to Southeast Asia in 2010 with his family and friends to establish education for children in several remote rural villages. The Shang family currently maintains a residence in Atherton, CA, but Aaron attends high school at an undisclosed alternate location.
