A Social State

A Social State is a band from Scranton, Pennsylvania which formed in mid 2009. The band originally consisted of four members, but later added an additional guitarist. Today, the band consists of CJ Williams, Ed Guozzo, Billy Trently, Jon Fletcher and Nick Ogonosky. Several of the members have previously been involved in other bands which performed at the Warped Tour. The band has also shared the stage with Person L, formed by Kenny Vasoli, lead singer and guitarist of the pop punk band The Starting Line as well as the solo project of the lead singer of Straylight Run.

The band has been receiving much positive feedback and media attention and has been getting ready to record their debut album which will be released early this summer.

Other Projects

All of the guys have previously been engaged in other projects. Bill Trently, CJ Williams and Jon Fletcher were all member of Livingston, a band that broke up in 2009 because of irreconcilable differences.Ed Guozzo left the rock band Melded to come join A Social State, along with drummer Nick Ogonosky who also played for another band.

Currently, Bill and Ed are involved in a side project called A Fire with Friends.
