Rose Torossian was born on 24 June 1980 in Beirut, Lebanon. She is of Armenian ancestry.
She was raised in Sydney, Australia and attended Willoughby Girls' High School. Rose is a Progressive Liberal who is a candidate for the seat of Fowler in the up-coming 2007 Federal Election against sitting Labor member, Julia Irwin.
Recently, the misreporting by The Fairfield Advance newspaper that Rose Torossian wasn't the preselected candidate for Fowler led Centrebet to call off all bets for the Fowler electorate.
Rose is also the youngest female candidate in the liberal party running for the 2007 Federal Election
In the final results of the 2007 Federal Election the Liberal Party was annihilated. Fortunately, Rose Torossian, with another liberal candidate, received the lowest swing against her on a national scale. This was reported in the Australian Daily Telegraph. She also received the best result in all of western sydney. Rose had campaigned very hard and was extremely dedicated to her supporters and the electorate.

Scott McConnel, 33, is part of John Howard's team as the Liberal candidate for Lilley at the 2007 Federal Election.
After working hard to put himself through university, Scott graduated from the University of Queensland with first class honours in a Bachelor of Commerce.
After graduating in 1994, Scott worked in a number of positions in the banking and mining industries both in Australia and overseas, but ultimately returned to Australia because of our quality of life.
He believes his experience working overseas gave him an appreciation of how fortunate we are to call Australia home.
Having lived in a number of countries, Scott has seen a lot of bad Government practices and policies that make it very difficult for people to get ahead in life. That's why he feels it's so important to have a Government with a proven track record to keep our economy strong so that people can get ahead and plan for the future with confidence.
Scott is working for important local issues like cracking down on local crime and delivering safer, better roads that have been neglected by the local Labor Member.
