Shane Sklar (born March 25, 1976) is an American politician from Texas. In 2006 he ran as the Democratic candidate for the House of Representatives in Texas's 14th congressional district, losing to incumbent Republican Ron Paul.
Early years
Sklar was born in Victoria, Texas and graduated from Edna High School. He later attended Sam Houston State University and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business.

For the last four years, Sklar has served as the Executive Director of the Independent Cattlemen's Association of Texas (ICA).
On May 3, 2006 a Washington, DC fund raiser was held in Shane's honor hosted by Nancy Pelosi.

Akua Ofosuhene, is a 38 year old mother and filmmaker from London. She began her working life in Fashion and music festivals before turning her hand to filmmaking. She has made 4 short films to date and is working on her 1st feature length documentary.
Her work has been screened as part of Black History Month in London and Colchester. Commonwealth and Empire Museum Bristol, LineOut film Festival Leicestershire.
