Hwang Jin (Hangul: 황진, Hanja: 黃進) was a general during Japanese invasions of Korea. He is best known for his defense at the castle of Jinju at the . There were two battles of Jinju, the first was a great victory for the Koreans while at the second, the Japanese captured the castle, with Hwang Jin and the entire Korean garrison killed. Hwang Jin was killed by two arquebuse bullets.
The Battle
Hwang Jin commanded the castle of Jinju during Japanese invasions of Korea. In July of 1593, the castle had around 60,000 Koreans, including irregular soldiers and civilians. The permanent garrison was only 4,000. Around mid July, Japanese commanders including Kato Kiyomasa, Ukita Hideie, and Konishi Yukinaga marched an army of 90,000 to Jinju. The Japanese were anxious to win a victory, as Toyotomi Hideyoshi was not happy with the results of the first battle.
As the Japanese approached, Korean soldiers straggled toward the walls seeking protection of the castle. When Hwang Jin saw this he realized he could not open the gates, if he did the Japanese would swarm in and capture the fort. As a result the commander of the reinforcements charged with over a hundred men and were shot down by the muskets of the Japanese.
Although heartbroken from these events, Hwang Jin ordered his garrison to defend the castle. As the Japanese raised scaling ladders under cover of arquebusiers, the Koreans dumped rocks and hot burning oil on the Japanese. The Koreans also returned fire with bows, mortars, and arquebuses. Unfortunately, when the Japanese brought in siege towers, the Koreans were unable to resist.
Hwang China is famous in Korea for his outstanding defenses and the ability to command. He was also known famous for having survived 2 bullets until he died of his wounds. After six days Hwang Jin was shot in the chest by 2 bullets and at morning the siege was over. His subordinates came and found him gasping and breathing and looking tired. Then still holding his sword Hwang Jin died. He was 22 years old when he died. Morale crumbled with his death and Jinju castle soon fell to the Japanese invaders.
After war, King Seonjo grant the posthumous conferment of honors.

The year is 2804.Old Earth's prime confederacy, the Union of Stars, has spent centuries of bitter warfare against the emerging races of the Galaxy. The latest threat comes from the distant planet Saalok 4.But after nearly thirty years of deep-space battles between both homo sapiens and these new hard-skinned creatures known as the Saaloki, the Saaloki warships soon diminish, before their fleets cease to traverse the voids of space to challenge mankind altogether. In a pure act of arrogance, the Union of Stars assumes the destruction of the Saaloki, and sends forth a lightly armoured research vessel to the Motar Prime fleet system within which Saalok 4 resides. The planet is found to be completely devoid of the Saaloki. An attempt is made to land upon the surface of the planet in an effort to discover the true cause of the disappearance of the mysterious race.Nothing more is heard from the research vessel, and all aboard are presumed dead.
When a distress message is received from the Motar Prime system,an immediate Combat Search
and Rescue team is established, lead by Commander Darkshade.A veteran by nature,Darkshade has fought countless battles in the past, including the eradication of the Tomb Seers of Thoros, and the overthrow of Sol Karrade. His experience with the Saaloki is also well-rooted.Darkshade and his second in command, captain and best friend Kip Fontane, conduct the operation, and they and the 29 Collapsar troops under their care, board a limitship called the USIF Entrant and make a jump through arcspace, eventually reaching Saalok 4.Remaining in orbit around the planet for a day,Darkshade is unhappy with the lack of progress, and decides to land the ship, against his better judgment.
Saalok is a lush, jungle world alive with geothermal activity and occasional volcanic outbursts. The vegetation towers many hundred meters into the sky,and huge ancient and ruined Saaloki temples dot the landscape with their intricate and exotic architecture. All is quite save interraction from the local wildlife.Soon, the team stumble across the source of the distress message. It is the research vessel, crashed and seemingly destroyed.Darkshade is surprised to find three crew-members aboard ; Corproate Starship master Gordon Ortega and two scientists.Ortega tells how they were attack by a terrible foe for several successive nights, and that one of their crew-members,namely Cody Jetson,a female metastatics scientist, was captured and taken to a distant tower.
Darkshade insists on the rescue of Cody, but is surprised at Ortega's description of the enemy. It was not the Saaloki, but a new race implementing nanotechnology to create giant machines,a.i. and space-craft.Their travels then take them across Saaloki to the very cause of Saalok 4's strange history, and the unveiling of the Astrolith Anathema.

Hyper Kill 2 is the second of the Hyper Kill trilogy. The film opens to a great expanse of space. With that, the screen is filled
with a great scintillation of light a a ship is seen bursting out of arcspace.Darkshade,Fontane,Ortega and Jetson return to Old Earth with the intent of informing the Union of Stars of mankinds latest imminent threat, the Astrolith Anathema.
Being the second installment, hyper kill 2 follows many other trilodgy traditions in which the second film is moreso a relationship-building experience between viewer and characters, rather than an indepth plot development. This said,Hyper Kill
2's script hints of several climactic action sequences within the streets of New Los Angeles and in space.
With their return to Earth, the heores have precious little time to warn the Union of Stars before the A.A. arrive.HK 2 features much character development, including the addition of several new personas of both protagonistic and antagonistic association.Protagonists include space pirate Crash Dragonspear,low-life pimp Kayne Jackson,Magnus of the royal guard of the Union of Stars,a mysterious warrior called Solidthunder, and new love interest Eve Turner. Antagonists include the dreaded Dashhorror, the synthetic Torrent 4,quantum assassin Black Justice, and Shadowarc, once ally of Darkshade within the collapsar force long ago, presumed dead, but now returned to exact vengeance.
The first hour of the film deals mainly with the initial approach of the Astrolith Anathema, also revealing mankinds ignorance
towards such threats.Several brief encounters occur, and Darkshade and company are forced to retreat below street level to the old streets of New L.A.,where they encounter Kayne Jackson and his rogue street-fighters.
By the second hour, the assault is well under way.Monstrous machines thunder through the streets of the city, and great buildings come thundering down.Magnus,a royal guard of the Union of Stars,is cut of from the Union Temple amidst the epic battle, and joins forces in trying to revive a dismantled E-bomb from beneath the city: left there after a failed terrorist attempt some years ago.The eletromagnetic pulse detonation of such magnitude is their last hope as the Anathem continue their devastating onslaught.Darkshade and Magnus make their way through the age-worn underworlds of L.A. in search of the E-bomb, while Fontane,Ortega,Jetson and Jackson battle their way through the city towards Union Temple, where they hope to gain additional military support to cover the surfacing of the E-bomb,as Darkshade asked for.
As a titanic battle ensues amongst the ravaged streets between human forces, and the everchanging astroliths,Kip Fontane and Gordon Ortega come across a space pirate,Crash Solidthunder, who they save from imminent death.Upon hearing of the dire situation,Crash volunteers to use his own pirate ship,Furious George 4,to provide covering fire upon the surfacing of the E-bomb.The team head across the city to Crash's secret hanger, where they gain the addition of a troop of rough-looking pirates.
Meanwhile,Darkshade and Magnus continue through the abandoned levels of the city,at one point coming across a collapsed section of upper road, which leads upwards to a Dinosaur clone zoo, where the security has been breached, and dinosaurs run freely about.Eventually they descend once again, finding the E-bomb amidst the darkness, only to discover a mysterious warrior,Solidthunder, already trying to activate it.Both their purposes are one and the same, and all join forces to complete the same task. The load the E-bomb onto the back of an 8x8 truck, and drive up onto street level, where they find the Furious George 4 laying down a salvo of covering fire.
An intense highway pursuit takes place, during which Darkshade acquires a Sabre Saturn Mark x bike, and continues ahead to deal with a new looming threat; the stegolith. In a dramatic sequence,he leaps onto the nose of the stegolith as a squadron of QAPs come raining down. There Darkshade encounters the quantum assassin Black Justice, and the two battle fiercly atop the machine, until Justice is kicked from the edge to his apparent death.Amidst the fray, the 8x8 truck's tyres are shot out on the highway.Furious George 4 lands and everyone disembarks to give covering fire for Magnus and Solidthunder. At one point,a QAP is shot down, and as it regenerates upon the highway surface and prepares to take off,Fontane lashes the towing line of the E-bomb around the QAP's thruster and the bomb is dragged high into the air.As this is happening,Darkshade presses the activator for the E-bomb,and leaps from the Stegolith as an intense electromagnetic blast shoruds the city, and the attacking force of the Anathema is quelled.
The latter portion of the film deals primarily with the new rising Astrolith force in earth's atmosphere. Darkshade,Fontane, Ortega and Solidthunder make their way towards an approaching titan in space; the dreaded ancient race known as the Pturosats of Otab Teritus.Leader of this billions-year-old race if the Dashhorror,a star god of monstrous power, neither living nor dead, infused with the power of a thousand worlds. The Pturosats have been drifting across the intergalactic plains since the dawn of time, ever feeding, never ceasing, and now, with the assistance of the Anathema, they have happened across mankind.Upon the discovery of this new threat,Darkshade and company agree to infiltrate the Pturosat mother-ship,a giant energetic sphere several hundred thousand miles wide,in an effort to scupper it.There they are captured, and locked away, before being revealed to the Dashhorrror. The Dashhorror's decision is for them to be transported via a smaller craft back to the Pturosat's homeworld Gujo to be presented before the Masterhorror for interrogation. The film ends as the transportation craft makes a leap through arcspace to the said location.

Novel Excerpt
The story starts in a grand and elaborate ball. It’s the prince’s annual ball and tonight he spends it with his fiancée, the sorceress of the Helvatican kingdom. Sadly though, he finds himself captured by a young lady whom he can’t resist but to ask her hand for a dance. She agreed and after that, the young lady left, leaving the poor price in the midst of two ladies-one waiting for him to come back to her, the other trying to clear her way from him.
The prince made a decision and dashed towards the front gate chasing after the young lady. He followed her all over town and alas, he finds her.
The next morning, the prince had gone missing and as Mervin Gaust had a visit at the local Zellum shop to get his Zellum repaired, he hears the door open and after a while he saw a Zellum beside his shoes. The Zellum shop owner tells him to take that Zellum instead since his will take more time. Yet the one he got is worthless since its eyes are turning around and is not functioning in any way.
That night he opens his window to see a CyclonePath over the outskirts of Breadmill. He then decided to check it out and hope it could revive the Zellum. He went down, took his Aquatorre and left town. As he stood beneath the large formation of the CyclonePath, he raised the Zellum to the air and a bright light consumes the entire area. When he regained his vision, the Zellum begins to wake up and a sleeve touches its face. He eats it and a message was received. Just then the thousands of sleeves that made up the CyclonePath rushed towards it. Mervin panicked and rushed to the river where his Aquatorre helped him back to town.
The next morning, a festival is held in town and as Mervin has his usual issues at work, a series of knocks changed everything as the voice of a royal guard colonel searches for a Mervin Gaust.
It was then that his boss, Mr. Waggernote, gave him a choice. He was to find the prince with this Zellum as his aid or he could stay here. Either way, the result is unclear. He could stay here and return the Zellum end of story or he could be thrown in jail. On the other hand if he accepts the journey, he could never return alive or he might just save the land from another destructive war. It’s his choice and as the door blasts wide open, Mr. Waggernote smiles as he asks the men what he can do for them.
A few hours later and Mervin surfaces from the streets of Sharada, his journey to bring back the prince now begins.
Characters
; Mervin Gaust :
He is the main character of the story. He will help find the prince throughout the storyline. In the end he will realize the world that he lives in is no longer the right world for him thus the closure of the story.
Mervin is an artist at the local advertising shop in Breadmill, he is a person that has great potential yet his decision on not wanting to become better at what he does pulls him down. A book given to him may help him out of his situation yet somehow, he just leaves it on one side to collect dust.
Mervin is somewhat of a quiet person. He often likes to spend time on his own and only wish to show his true enjoyable side when alone. He is a lover of arts and knowledge yet he does not enjoy acquiring them by reading.
; Selina Erenhoft :
She is the companion of Mervin throughout the story. Selina becomes Mervin's strength every time his moral goes down. She somewhat has this uncertainty towards Mervin and is unusually kind to him compared to other people yet it could just be because they have been friends since they were kids. She is the chief mechanic of Mr. Waggernote Prints responsible for making sure the large printer is always in top condition. Selina is the daughter of Breadmill's Zellum specialist and was supposed to be the next in line in their family's line of work when she discovered she wanted to repair bigger things and decided to set her father's dream aside.
Selina is a strong person who always wants to be looked at as an independent individual. She knows a lot of things in life and demands nothing more than perfection on the things she does. The most powerful side of her comes out when she visits the Zellum shop of the town of Michaselle, she is outraged by the fact she is not recognized as the daughter of the great Zellum researcher.
; Rigchket Sternfold/Prints :
A Zellum of great relevance to the people around him. Bearing the symbol of the royal family, he becomes both a curse and a blessing to Mervin as he shows him the world while running away from the royal guards.
Noisy in more sense than one, this is the liveliest Zellum in the entire story. While most Zellums are like robots, this Zellum has a character of its own.
He was found by Mervin and was then used as a replacement for his damaged Zellum. He later finds out he is actually the Zellum of the prince after talking to Mr. Waggernote. He was also once Mr. Waggernote’s Zellum until the old man became ill and old that he decided to send Rigchket as a gift for the prince.
He helps guide Mervin through the adventure and later on becomes his friend.
; Kurdle Flamewhisp :
Pilot of the Shemron, he is a happy go lucky type of guy. Kurdle is usually a chin-up guy and knows what he’s doing. He is brave and vigilant and several times he shows off to protect Selina from danger although his liking for her is somewhat blurred when they met Amihan.
Later in the story, he becomes Macom, the real identity of Kurdle. Macom is the leader of a group of mercenaries that rides a fleet of Goosestaff (flying vehicle). Their main goal is to maintain the current living status of the people by preventing an all out peace agreement across the four kingdoms. Along their toils, they find Luna, and legend tells she holds a gem of heart that is of a price no one could conceive.
He helps Mervin and Selina through their travels and pilots the great Class-E model type RX187-22i Shemron, the fastest model alive. He initially assumes the role of a hero topping off Mervin and somehow appearing as a third party in the lives of Mervin and Selina.
Later he becomes Macom and sought to kill Luna in order to get the treasure deep within her. Along with his team of mercenaries, they changed their motive from assassinating the prince to getting rich.
; Waggernote Prints :

Mervin is somewhat of a quiet person. He often likes to spend time on his own and only wish to show his true enjoyable side when alone. He is a lover of arts and knowledge yet he does not enjoy acquiring them by reading.
; Selina Erenhoft :

A Zellum of great relevance to the people around him. Bearing the symbol of the royal family, he becomes both a curse and a blessing to Mervin as he shows him the world while running away from the royal guards.

He was found by Mervin and was then used as a replacement for his damaged Zellum. He later finds out he is actually the Zellum of the prince after talking to Mr. Waggernote.
