The RealCycle Network is an organisation of concerned members of the United Kingdom (UK) public.
The whole concept is based around the giving and receiving of usable items that may well end up in the local tip or landfill.
Each group has a home in the Yahoo Groups structure. Run by Moderators local to that area, it allows each person to offer items no longer wanted or request items of use as an alternative to buying new.
"Do the Right Thing!" is The RealCycle Network's official tagline.
Background and origin
It began on the 9 of June 2007 after the owner of a Freecycle group became disillusioned with Freecycle after reading all the awful things that people were saying about the inner workings of Freecycle. After talking to many other moderators, Tracy Matthews of The Vale of Glamorgan in Wales, decided enough was enough and created The RealCycle Network that is exclusive to the United Kingdom. She moved her group over to this new network . A few other concerned Freecycle moderators also brought their groups over to RealCycle as they were as disappointed with the politics and controversies that surrounded the Freecycle Network.
run as mailing lists run by moderators who give their time freely to spreading the concept of 'reducing, reusing, and recycling'. There are plenty of new groups that need to be started as RealCycle is still a very young network. However, being new does not mean inexperienced. To date (11 August 2007) there are now 15 groups in existence with another 4 ready to be launched
Local communities
The local community structure is extremely important to RealCycle, it is the foundation of all their groups and RealCycle encourages extra posts of advice and community as well as the standard email postings of "offered", "wanted", "taken", and "received". This has gone down well with members that have come over from Freecycle as it makes the groups feel more homely and relaxed.
The groups can have their own individual cafe groups to chat and mingle with people from their local area as well as country-wide cafe groups, namely , , &
The Group Owners and Moderators also have their own Cafe to let off steam, chat to other mods about problems with members, question the validity of some posts or just talk about what they had for breakfast. This creates a comfortable unity with free speech available to all. If they have a problem with RealCycle, they can be comfortable with the notion that they can openly say so without the worry of reprisals. Many previous Freecycle group moderators have said how much more relaxed they feel at RealCycle because of this comfy armchair attitude.
Selling and swapping
As selling and swapping items are not allowed on the RealCycle groups we had requests from group members and moderators for us to come up with something to accommodate this, The RealCycle Network decided that two other groups could have a testing period, so they opened RealSell groups and RealSwap groups as members thought that some items were too good or expensive to just give away, but they didn't want to bother with sites like Ebay or Free Ad pages.
The items listed on these groups are quite inexpensive and the groups seem to be a hit with the RealCycle members. So far they have only opened up in and and and , but if needed they can be split into smaller groups for Counties and Cities in the future. There is no charge to use this service and the concept of collection of items remains the same as the standard RealCycle groups with members opting to post items to people who live a certain distance away for the actual charge of the posting.
UK FoodShare websites
This is a new type of regiving site for the UK, its very successful in the USA - full listings can be found at Freesharing.Org Website, it has only 2 sites so far and . Both groups have a slow building members list, but it is believed the concept of giving food away isn't as easy to members as giving items away. The lack of backyard farmers is also a possible reason for the groups being quieter than the US. These groups will hopefully build a successful membership throughout the UK to be as successful as the US.
RealEducate
This is an idea that is being worked on by Tracy Matthews in her spare time. This will be a website attached to RealCycle for school children and adults to download information in PDF format to learn all about the concept of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. These files will be geared to all ages, and the website will have interesting articles and fun games to play. Children will have pages to download for colouring in, there will be wordsearches and Spot the difference. More will be released about this as it progresses.

Kemo the Blaxican is a Latino rapper known as a former member of the Chicano rap crew, Delinquent Habits.
Kemo is a Mexican and African American- hence the "Blaxican" part of his name. Kemo is short for Keimonti.
Delinquent Habits
When Delinquent Habits was formed in 1991, the group itself originally consisted of two emcees, Ives ("El Guero Loco") and Kemo, and O.G. Style as the DJ and producer. Thus the group was often called "Los Tres Delinquentes" (In English: "The Three Delinquents"). Their first album was executive-produced by Cypress Hill member Sen Dog and featured guest appearances by Sen himself as well as Puerto Rican New York City rapper Hurricane G.
The Delinquents soon struck gold with their hit 1996 single "Tres Delinquentes". The song sold over one million copies around the globe, nearly pushing their self-titled album to the same figure. The success of the song and album landed the Delinquents a spot on Late Night With Conan O'Brien and tours with such talents as Korn and Ice T. The group toured around the globe in such locations as the U.K., South America, Japan, Mexico, and Taiwan. Being the only fluent Spanish-speaking member of the hispanic group, Kemo was known for his flawless bilingual transitions. After twelve years of success and the completion of their fourth album, Freedom Band in 2004, The Blaxican decided to pursue a solo career, which has been a colossal success.
Solo career
After leaving the group, he recorded the self-produced album Simple Plan in 2004. It was released on his own label, Dead Silence Records, to dismal reviews. One of his more successful songs, "La Receta" was included the film 10 Items or Less staring the talents of Morgan Freeman and Paz Vega. Similar to some of his previous work, the song tastefully blended a Sonora-styled horn riff with the urban sound of Hip-Hop with multi-lingual lyrics. In another track titled Ruido, he briefly recounts his time spent as a "Delinquente", and mentions how he used to "rip the micro" with O.G. Styles and Irie Ives (a.k.a. "El Guero Loco".) The song also features the rapper known as Sicko, of Dos Rivales fame. Clearly, the Blaxican is able to sugar-coat his "street" rhymes in order to appeal to women in the 12-16 year old demographic.
The same year as his debut album, Kemo teamed up with Sick Jacken of the Psycho Realm on a collaborative effort to appear on the Spanish hip-hop compilation "Imperial Latino" by Profeta Records. The album also featured a track of Kemo's titled "No Que No' which, translated into English, is utter nonsense. Along with releasing a second album, titled Not So Rich & Famous, Kemo currently runs his own line of baggy clothes, "Joint Clothing".
When asked about his musical goal, Kemo states:
In fact, Kemo is well-known for making collaborative efforts with other Latino artists to help the Latino community find its place in Hip-hop as Latino artists often do not receive the amount of attention they think they deserve from record labels. Kemo realizes that Latino rap is just a novelty and that the Latino rappers are forced to rap in Spanish for mainstream success:

Career
Music
911 debuted in 1995 with their first single "A Night to Remember", a cover to the classic Shalamar tune. 911 had very good success during their time in the charts releasing a total of 14 singles and 4 albums, including a "Greatest Hits" album. The band announced their split in 2000. In 2005, 911 reunited and took part in Hit Me Baby One More Time. They were successful in gaining a place in the final, where they performed "Bodyshakin" and S Club 7's hit "". Although 911 did not win the competition, the show resulted in a renewed interest in the band. Brennan regularly reunites with the other members of 911 to perform in gigs up and down the UK.
Acting
Although the band officially split in 2000, Brennan continues songwiting whilst pursuing an acting career. In 2006, for the fourth consecutive year, he performed as Peter Pan in a Christmas pantomime.
There has been confusion caused by the fact Lee has the same name as another actor, with 911 fans vandalising the actor Lee Brennan's imdb entry by adding the singer/songwriter's TV appearances and personal details.
