"Cold Reality" is the third episode of the short-lived TV series Mortal Kombat Conquest.
Plot synopsis
Kung Lao, Taja and Siro must keep an ancient magical crystal from falling into the hands of Shang Tsung and the diabolical Lin Kuei's assassin/sorcerer Sub-Zero.
Episode opens at the Lin Kuei compound where a strange ceremonial initiation is taking place. The Grand Masters of this cadre of assassins for hire are training a fierce new warrior in their ancient arts. As is the case with most things diabolical, Shang Tsung (series regular Bruce Locke) has a hand in this evil.
Meanwhile, following his defeat of Scorpion, Kung Lao (series regular Paolo Montalban), accompanied by Taja (series regular Kristanna Loken) and Siro (series regular Daniel Bernhardt), heads back to the city of Zhu Zin, specifically to the trading post of the now-deceased Baron Reyland. As the Baron's daughter, Jen, lay dying in Kung Lao's arms, she gave him the key to the entire compound, and the threesome have decided to use the post as a training center for future fighters in Mortal Kombat.
When Kung Lao, Siro and Taja reach Zhu Zin, the men decide to get provisions at the bazaar and Taja heads straight to the trading post. Upon her arrival she discovers that the post has been ransacked and, even worse, the marauder is still on the premises and proceeds to attack her. Kung Lao and Siro arrive momentarily and stop the attack, only to discover that the "burglar" is actually a Ninja from the Lin Kuei.
It turns out that before his death the Baron had purchased a magical crystal that makes inter-Realm travel possible and hid it somewhere in the trading post. Shang Tsung will stop at nothing (including the Lin Kuei) to get his hands on this crystal to buy his freedom from Shao Kahn.
After the first attempt at retrieval failed, Shang Tsung has the Lin Kuei dispatch three more Ninjas to the trading post—where they are eventually defeated by Kung Lao, Taja and Siro. As the defeated Ninjas retreat from the trading post, Siro secretly follows them back to the Lin Kuei training compound and witnesses the unveiling of Sub Zero, a Ninja/sorcerer who, in addition to being a fierce martial artist, is able to fire deadly blasts of ice and cold from his palms.
Realizing there must be something extremely valuable hidden in the trading post, the new tenants beginning searching every nook and cranny. Kung Lao and Taja find the crystal just as Siro comes bounding in to tell them what he's seen at the Lin Kuei compound. Unfortunately, Sub-Zero comes bounding in right behind him and a heated battle over the crystal begins. In the end, Kung Lao, Taja and Siro are able to defend the crystal and send Sub-Zero on his way, but the battle is far from over.

Psycho Dad was a fictional show-within-a-show on the long-running sitcom Married... with Children. The show was constantly changing opening theme lyrics until it was cancelled by Marcy D'Arcy and her women's group in season 9 of Married... with Children. It once had the added disclaimer, "Now with less violence but more kinky sex and nudity for a cleaner and saner America."
The show was regarded by Marcy as extremely violent as 84 people were killed in a one hour episode. Not surprisingly, it was Al Bundy's favorite show, and his daughter Kelly also seemed to enjoy it.
According to comments by Al and others, Psycho Dad was a Western action show focusing on a frontiersman with a family, that more or less took pleasure in maiming and injuring anyone that got on his bad side, including his own family.
Psycho Dad is played in the cancellation episode by Andrew Prine.
Theme Songs
As a Running gag the lyrics of Psycho Dad varied from episode to episode.
From episode [Al... with Kelly (501)]
Who's that riding into the sun.
Who's the man with the itchy gun.
Who's the man who kills for fun!
Psycho Dad. Psycho Dad. Psycho Dad!
He sleeps with a gun, but he loves his son.
Killed his wife 'cause she weighed a ton... Psycho Dad!
Psycho Mom
Psycho Mom was a show that was featured only once on the show, it subsequently became Peggy's favorite show and then was replaced by 'The New Adventures of Psycho Dad.' According to an in-episode commercial, the show aired on the Fox Network.

Rita Stone
Born December 17, 1902. Died March 12, 1984.
Busy British Character actress who appeared in literally hundreds of films before finding fame in the long running situation comedy More Tea, Vicar? (1975-1984). She was often cast as land ladies, cleaners, drunks, sectaries and nurses and was a familiar face for over forty years. Peter Howard, the producer of the Not now… films often cast her in the series. Her appearances in the series include Not now Captain, Not now Doctor, Not now Victoria, Not now Don Vitto and Not now Charles. Her other films include Dance with Me, Horrid Hogs and Horses, The Twist, The Passion of Dracula, Ripper V.I.P, A Life in the Death of Billy Hopkiss and Watch it Sergeant!. She rarely had a large role in these films and often went uncredited. Never as popular as other character actresses such as Irene Handel, Dandy Nichols or Joan Sims it seemed she would never be anything other than a featured player. Writing in the definitive biography on Rita Stone, A Strange Existence: The Life and Death of Rita Stone (Bloomsbury 2004), Mark Heslon suggested that due to her looks she had avoided the larger roles “She wasn’t a cuddly, lovable looking woman such as Hattie Jacques. She didn’t look sweet like someone’s greatly adored grandmother in fact she was a rather harsh looking women”
It was the events surrounding December 17th 1974 however that made her a household name. On her way home from the cinema (she had been to see Murder on the Orient Express) she was caught up in the of that evening. Finding a disorientated child behind a Post Office Administration building she suspected something was wrong by the single car in the car park. Her instinct quickly took over and she grabbed the child and ran up an ally way. It was then that the car blew up and she became very famous for saving the child’s life.
The publicity this generated found her cast in her only leading role as Mrs. Trout the housekeeper, More Tea, Vicar?.
More Tea, Vicar? by Bob Webber and Richard Croft was a huge success and was later adapted into a film (1978) and then as a popular stage play (1979 and 1981). Despite her age, Rita Stone participated in all of these ventures, although she was missing from a few episodes of the last season due to hip replacement. After her death in 1984 it was revealed that her sitcom co-star Nelly Baker was her long time live in companion and that Rita Stone had used her considerable clout to have her cast in the series as Mrs. Gilly, a character most people found disposable. It was also revealed that she threatened to quit the show on numerous occasions if certain cast changes were not made. From this we can assume that her relationship with Billy Myers was not a healthy one as he left after the first series to be replaced by Gordon Jones for the remainder of the program's run.
Andrew Walters, who played Howard in the 5th season only, certainly has made it clear that he was pushed out by Rita Stone as she made his life a misery on set. Despite this the public loved her accident prone character and the series would certainly have continued if it wasn’t for her mysterious death.
