Scientology 0-8: The Book of Basics is a book by L. Ron Hubbard, originally published in 1970, regularly updated/expanded and maintained in print to this day.

The book is a collection of charts, graphs, scales, tables, maxims, logics, codes and axioms, most of which appeared previously in other Scientology works such as Scientology 8-8008 and the Church's in-house magazine The Auditor.

Factors

Hubbard's "Factors" are presented as the "Summation of the considerations and examinations of the human spirit and material universe". Examples include:

:*Before the beginning was a Cause and the entire purpose of the Cause was the creation of Effect.

:*The First Action of Beingness is to assume a viewpoint.

:*There is Beingness, but man believes there is only Becomingness.


The Qs

Also known as "The Prelogics", these are a group of axiom-like proclamations given with no context or explanation, such as:

:*Theta creates space, energy and objects by postulates.

:*Self-determinism, applied, will create, alter, conserve and possibly destroy universes.


The Axioms of Scientology
Hubbard's Axioms have been reprinted in many other texts such as What is Scientology?. Examples include:

:*Life is basically a static.

:*Time is basically a postulate that space and particles will persist.

:*Survival is accomplished by Alter-is-ness and Not-is-ness, by which is gained the persistency known as Time.

:*The general rule of Auditing is that anything which is unwanted and yet persists must be thoroughly viewed, at which time it will vanish.

:*Theta can resolve problems.

:*Communication is the consideration and action of impelling an impulse or particle from source-point across a distance to receipt-point, with the intention of bringing into being at the receipt-point a duplication and understanding of that which emanated from the source-point.


Scientology Code of Honor

The Scientology Code of Honor is prefaced with the statement "No one expects the Code of Honor to be closely and tightly followed." Examples include:

:*Never withdraw allegiance once granted.

:*Never desert a group to which you owe your support.

:*Never fear to hurt another in a just cause.


The Logics

Like the Prelogics (Qs), the Logics are presented in the book as-is, without context, explanation, or analysis. Examples include:

:*A datum is a facsimile of states of being, states of not being, actions or inactions, conclusions, or suppositions in the physical or any other universe. (Note: after Hubbard's death, this Logic was rewritten, despite alterations to his words having been expressly forbidden during his lifetime. See Altered texts in Scientology doctrine.)

:*Those fields which most depend upon authoritative opinion for their data least contain known natural law.


The Axioms of Dianetics
The book relays all 194 axioms of Dianetics, which were originally published in 1951. Examples include:


:*Theta operating through Lambda converts the forces of the physical universe into forces to conquer the physical universe.

:*Death is abandonment by Theta of a life organism or race or species where these can no longer serve Theta in its goals of infinite survival.

:*Colonial aggregations of viruses and cells can be imbued with more Theta than they inherently contained.

:*A Valence is a facsimile personality made capable of force by the counter-effort of the moment or receipt into the plus or minus randomity of unconsciousness.

:*Any aesthetic product is a symbolic facsimile or combination of facsimiles of Theta or physical universes in varied randomities and volumes of randomities with the interplay of tones.




The Axioms of S.O.P. 8-C
Originally appearing in The Creation of Human Ability, No elaboration is given in the text here for the meaning and significance of "S.O.P. 8-C". Despite the title, these are presented as a mixture of Prelogics, axioms, and formulas. Examples:

:*Compulsive position precedes compulsive thinking.

:*Space exists by reason of anchor points.

:*Energy is derived from mass by fixing two terminals in proximity in Space.

:*The basic action of existence is duplication.

:*The MEST universe is a game consisting of barriers.

Some, such as "Reality-spotting by E-meter", are relatively complex, tabling points of the Tone Scale against various degrees of Hubbard's "Reality Scale" ( in two different versions) juxtaposed with corresponding predictions of what to expect from the E-meter's needle in each instance.

Others, such as the "Points of Case Address", are extremely simple (this example consists of just three words: "Thought, Emotion, Effort").

they are both highflyers, Matt is a crusierweight and Brian is a Light Heavyweight. they have beaten duece and domino at summerlsma and Again they beat duece and domino at Unforgiven. then at No Mercy they beat lance cade and trevor murdoch and at Cyber sunday they were chosen to verse John morrison and the miz and they won. they are still tag team champions and will verse john morrison and miz at survivor series.

Matt Hydra weighs in at 186 pounds and Brian hydra weighs 192 pounds they are the same height 5 foot 5 and are a Fan Favourite.
Hydroactivo have versed in Ladder Matches, TLC Matches, no DQ Matches and many more. they where different colour 3 quarter pants and there song is called "This Calling" By All the remains. they wear gloves, there tag team move is "The Golden facbuster", Brian's move is Hydro Evoulution and Matt's move is Hydro Injection.

They have been into wrestling since they were little and used to wrestle on the trampoline practising flips and moves. Brian and Matt had a tag team match with cody rhodes and defeated duece, domino and M.V.P. They come from Chicago illinois and they like wrestling in different arenas. they have been in 2 Royal rumble matches and came close but havent won any. they went in a money in the bank match at wrestlemania but didnt win cause they both jumped off a 25 foot ladder onto all the contenders.

Matt Hydra and Brian Hydra like to do High flying moves like hurrincanrana, sentons and more. they also like to tag up with differnt people and they are like there manager Teddy long junior. Matt Hydra and Brian Hydra;s slogon is "Never back down"
They have tried to become wwe superstars since they were 9. Now they are WWE Superstars and we will see how great there career will be in the WWE.

On there entrance They run in and slide in the ring then they go on the turnbuckle and point at eachother then wipe there face and flip off the turnbuckle. then they jump in the air and they take the masks off there face. they were heeps of differnt colour 3 quarter pants like blue,green, red, yellow an many more.

Hydroactivo are the youngest high flying tag team in the WWE and they have awesome high flying moves. The golden face buster is a great move for there tag tag team special. hydroactivo are on the smackdown roster but verse on ECW or Raw aswell. they have had a rivalry with duece and domino now they are having one with John Morrison and the Miz.

Matt Hydra and Brian Hydra earnt respect off Mr Kennedy and Cody Rhodes. now they are going to verse john morrison and the miz at survivor series. they are a 2 time wwe tag team champions and have been in 2 royal rumble matches including 1 money in the bank. they have beaten Mr Kennedy, M.v.p, hardcore holly,jamie noble,duece and domino, john morrsion and miz, major brothers and many more.

Hydroactivo are won of the smallest high flying tag team in WWE and possibly the best team un smackdown. They both weigh up to
378 pounds together. They both are great athletes and are great in ladder matches.

Burning Image are a deathrock band from Bakersfield, California, USA.

They were an anomaly in the punk pantheon of the 1980s. At the time, hardcore punk was the rage but was becoming formulaic and dumbed down as quickly as the songs were getting faster and shorter. Burning Image had more in common with the English "batcave" bands of the period like Specimen than any hardcore unit. Their goth sound, mixed with a heavy dose of theatrical sensibilities, caught the attention of Jello Biafra, who quickly championed the band as one of his favorites, and he was instrumental in getting Burning Image to open numerous times for the Dead Kennedys. Burning Image also did shows with 45 Grave, Specimen, Butthole Surfers, and Dr. Timothy Leary, just to name a few. The band put out a 7" single with the songs 'Final Conflict' and 'Burning Image, Burning'.

The Early Years

Burning Image arose out of the ashes of a group called 'The Pictures'. Moe Adame and Tony Bonanno formed 'The Pictures' as an excuse to play the cool edgy music of the day and to bring punk rock to Bakersfield, Ca. They were tired of playing all the "crap" that the radio had to offer. they also wanted to play their own music. they were not alone.

At that same time, Joe Sparks and Paul Burch were in a local band playing X and Bowie tunes and wanting to create their own homegrown musical revolution. "No more dinosaur rock" was their battle cry. Moe and Tony finally decided that Joe and Paul should be in the band. After a meeting over sirloin tips and coffee at Denny's, it was final. Burning Image was a band.

Burning Image was formed in the Summer of 1983. A wide range of music, art, and fashion influenced the band. Their tastes ranged from Killing Joke to Christian Death and Andy Warhol to Edward Gorey. Politics, Religion, and personal angst were perfect topics for the songs that they were writing. The social climate in Bakersfield was tense and conservative and not very open to new ideas.
The religious groups in town targeted the band for their "satanic lyrics and imagery." which was far from what the band's music was all about. The early shows were true examples of the D.I.Y (do it yourself) attitude of the times. With the exception of Los Angeles and San Francisco, Bakersfield was not the ideal place to put on a deathrock show. But the crowds came and slowly helped the scene become strong and exciting. Burning Image was proving itself to be a vital part of the deathrock scene. Time to venture into the world.
Like it said in the bio, "We wrote a bunch of cool tunes and did some shows with the Dead Kennedys, 45 Grave, Specimen, Butthole Surfers, and Dr. Timothy Leary, just to name a few. We put out a 7" single with the song 'Final Conflict' and 'Burning Image, Burning'. We worked our asses off. It was great." But even the best of times come to an end. Burning Image parted ways in 1987 to pursue other interests and to take a break from the band. The band never officially ended. It just stopped.

Present Day

In 2004 Alternative Tentacles released a CD of Burning Image's early unreleased demos titled "1983-1987." The CD contains a whole album's worth of songs from the sessions for the rare single "The Final Conflict" b/w "Burning Image, Burning" (along with the single itself, of course). Three tracks -- "Gargoyles," "Anytime, Anywhere," and "Temptation" -- were recorded in July 2003. The current Burning Image website has two new songs--"Haunted" and "Zealot"--written for a new Burning Image CD.
The song "Haunted" is featured on a new compilation released by Strobelight records. The compilation is titled "Kaliffornian Deathrock" and is a collection of music by bands of the early 80's deathrock scene in California.

Burning Image have re-formed with original members Moe Adame, Tony Bonanno and Paul Burch in addition to newest member Anthony Leyva on bass. The band is working on new material for a future release.

Burning Image has recently played shows in Hollywood,CA with Christian Death 1334 and the "Wake the Dead" festival
featuring Ausgang, Cinema Strange, Tragic Black and Scarlet's Remains.
