The coaching staff at Barcelona saw him as one of their future stars as he developed a remarkable partnership with Bojan Krkic. He was signed by Liverpool FC in the summer of 2007. Pacheco started in the Under 18s team but was brought into the reserves within a few weeks. He started his first game for the reserves against Bolton Wanderers in February 2008, in which he scored the opener in a 3-0 victory. He played in the Under-18s youth cup against Sunderland and was largely responsible for their remarkable comeback from 2-0 down setting up Nathan Ecclestone for a goal and also adding one of his own.
Dani has been picked out by Liverpool coaching staff, along with Jay Spearing and Krisztian Nemeth, as candidates for the first team in the 08-09 season. The three are all expected to train with the first team during the pre-season and will hopefully be brought into the side.
