On the evening of April 9, 2011, an exceptionally intense and meteorologically unique tornado struck a rural segment of northwest Iowa. Rated an EF4 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale, this violent vortex occurred as part of a multi-day regional tornado outbreak stretching across the Midwest and the Southern United States. While the broader storm system inflicted widespread destruction, the tornado remains a focal point for researchers and severe weather enthusiasts. It served as a rare, textbook example of an intense satellite tornado out-intensifying its massive parent storm. Despite packing peak estimated winds of 170 miles per hour, the tornado resulted in zero fatalities and zero injuries due to striking a sparsely populated area and excellent early warnings.
Prime Produce Guild Hall, also known as Prime Produce Apprentice Cooperative and Prime Produce, is a community co-working organization and event space in New York City.
Prime Produce consists of two organizational bodies. One is an incorporated nonprofit, Prime Produce Limited, that runs the co-working collective, cybernetics library, and community space in the building. The second is a cooperative, Prime Produce Apprentice Cooperative, that manages their building.
