Chelsea Players is a London-based theatre company staging new writing, drama and comedy. The company produces up to six shows per year in London theatres including the Barons Court Theatre, Landor Theatre and Putney Arts Theatre. It has also staged work at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

John Commons is a Liberal Democrat politician in the City of Manchester. He is a councillor in the Levenshulme ward. He stood in the 2005 General Election for the Sheffield Hillsborough constituency. He was born in the USA, and is one of the organisers of the Manchester Irish Festival.
On 3rd of May 2007 he was re-elected as Councillor of Levenshulme ward and is a driving force in ward co-ordination.
Qassim Afzal (born 1960 in Manchester, Lancashire, England) is a Liberal Democrat politician. Educated at the University of Salford, he studied for a PhD in Cultural Trade and Industry.
He has held a number of jobs, including councillor in the Cheetham ward on Manchester City Council. It has been claimed, wrongly, that he became the first British-born Asian councillor. He first entered national politics in the 2001 General Election as a candidate for the Birmingham Sparkbrook and Small Heath constituency. He finished second with 4,841 votes.
In the 2005 General Election, Afzal stood for the Manchester Gorton constituency. He finished second with 9,672 votes, achieving one of the highest swings from Labour to the Liberal Democrats in that General Election.
