The New Republic Intelligence (NRI) is a fictional organization in the Star Wars universe. It was founded as a means of consolidating the Rebel Alliance's network of spies and informants into a viable intelligence agency following the rise of the New Republic. The successor to the New Republic's short-lived Senate Interplanetary Intelligence Network (SPIN), the NRI was organized under the jurisdiction of the General Ministry. The chain of command in the NRI extended from field operatives and informants all the way to the Director and Deputy of the bureau, who in turn were answerable to the General Ministry and the Chief of State.
Through its history, the New Republic walked a political tightrope in overcoming the stigma that remained from the Empire's harshly overzealous Imperial Security Bureau (ISB), and the Old Republic's bureaucratic Senate Bureau of Intelligence (SBI). At the end of the Yuuzhan Vong war, when the New Republic reformed into the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, its director was Belindi Kalenda.

Carry On was a notable straight edge hardcore punk band from California.
Carry On started in 1996 in Atascadero, California (on the Central Coast of California). Originally called Persevere, they changed their name to Carry On shortly before the release of their debut "Stabbed in the Face" 7" EP in 1998. All of the original members of Persevere/Carry On except singer Ryan George changed between 1998 and 2000. Nick D was replaced by Jason, Nick C was replaced by Josh, Buzzy was replaced by Jordan and Andy was replaced by Corey. Josh, Jordan, and Jason eventually moved on as well.
Guitarist Todd Jones went on to play in Internal Affairs and Betrayed. Todd previously played in Terror and Stand Your Ground. Bassist Greg Bacon now plays bass in Betrayed, Internal Affairs, and The First Step. Greg Bacon also played in Stand & Fight and Evac. Guitarist Corey Williams now sings in Internal Affairs and plays guitar for Piece by Piece and Snake Eyes and formerly of Stand Your Ground. Drummer Nick Jett plays in Terror and sings for Piece by Piece. Carry On's previous drummer Lucas McFadden plays in Go It Alone. Singer Ryan George notoriously "broke edge" just before the band's breakup, and later joined indie band The Adored with former Carry On drummer Nat Keefer.
Years later, Carry On played 2 final shows on July 1st and 2nd, 2005 at the Showcase Theatre, located in Corona, CA. Opening bands included Champion, Blue Monday, Allegiance, Betrayed, and more.

Mif Kumas is a fictional character of the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
Mif Kumas was born on the planet Calibop shortly before the rise of the Empire. Raised during the Imperial occupation of Calibop, Mif lived in a perpetual state of terror, which reinforced his belief that a state of order and justice needed to be created. His height and physical structure made him an intimidating sight, though his calm words and his voice calling for change inspired countless Calibops to join the fight against the Empire. On Kumas' 30th birthday, the Calibops liberated their planet, following Emperor Palpatine's final death.
Kumas was immediately praised as the leader of the resistance. The New Republic installed him as the first governor of Calibop. He ratified the general election calling for his good friend, Ponc Gavrisom, to serve as senator to the New Republic. He led Calibop through the difficulties of the early New Republic, and openly supported Senator Gavrisom and Chief of State Leia Organa Solo on Coruscant.
Following the Corellian Insurrection, Senator Gavrisom was elected to take over Leia Organa Solo's position. Gavrisom asked Kumas to take over his seat in the senate, an offer he accepted. The planetary governor left his post and arrived on Coruscant, where he represented Calibop to the New Republic through the Caamas Document crisis, the wedding of Luke Skywalker, and other incidents throughout those three years.
When Gavrisom resigned his position, Kumas willingly stepped down as Senator, offering the position back to Gavrisom. Kumas still remained active in the Senate, serving as an aide to Senator Gavrisom and a political analyst during the election of 24 ABY. Following Borsk Fey'lya's election, Kumas was named sergeant-at-arms of the New Republic Senate.
Kumas oversaw Senatorial proceedings during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, and his post ended with Nom Anor's visit to the Senate. Kumas attempted to protect Chief of State Fey'lya, but lost a great amount of his dignity when the assassination attempt nearly succeeded. Kumas resigned in disgrace from his position and returned to Calibop, where he remains politically active on a local level.
