Henry Wilkinson (s d. after 1681) was an English soldier and colonial administrator who was appointed governor of Albemarle Sound, a proprietary colony in present-day North Carolina, by the Lords Proprietors in 1680. Although commissioned to restore stability following political unrest in the colony, Wilkinson never assumed office, as financial difficulties and imprisonment in England prevented his departure.
Bardyl Rifat Tirana (December 16, 1937 – April 22, 2023) was an Albanian American lawyer and politician who served as the last Director of the Office of Civil Defense from 1977 to 1979.
John Tatham (born – died ) was an English colonial administrator and merchant who was nominated to serve as the Governor of East Jersey. While Tatham was ultimately rejected for the office, he did serve as de facto deputy governor, acting governor, and as a member of the Governor's Council. Later in life, he served as one of the founders of Burlington Township in present-day New Jersey.
Tatham was one of the earliest known Catholics to hold high political office in colonial America and maintained close ties with Catholic missionary activity in the Middle Colonies.
Edwyn Stede ( – July 19, 1695) was an English colonial administrator, merchant, and slave trader who served as acting Governor of Barbados from 1685 to 1690.
