The Atomic Planets is a collaborative project as a Brooklyn-based band, and is amongst the creators of music. The band members have been in various other bands including "Just an Idea" and "No." The group originally formed in 2008 with early tracks. The band released their first, full length LP, The Atomic Planets in March 2009, along with the EP "Abima." They achieved minor success with the song "Feel The Vibe" on music download site Aime Street. Although all members of the band are in 8-9 grade, Kirk Pearson added "We may be in high school, but we beg of you not to look at the project as a kid-band." The band's name comes from a Harry Truman quote, although their song "Environment 911" mocks that the band's name comes from the video game company, Atomic Planet Entertainment.
History
The Atomic Planets were formed unofficially in 2008, when the original demos were recorded. With help from new wave pioneers Charlie Gillett and Lene Lovich, the Atomic Planets recorded a cover of Jimmy O' Neil's "Say When." Due to royalty issues, this single was never released into the mainstream. Individually, Kirk Pearson is still a member of the avant-garde Brooklyn punk group "Just An Idea." They became part of the Brooklyn mainstream youth music when opening for such bands as Care Bears on Fire and Starscream at venues such as Southpaw and Arlene's Grocery. Willa R. is a member of punk band "No," formed June 2008.

Jewish History Month
Jewish History Month is a proposed American holiday to celebrate and raise awareness about the Jewish diaspora.
Purpose
With the controversy surrounding Black History Month some members of other ethnic minority classes that experienced discrimination and intolerance at the hands of the American government felt that the recognition of their history and culture warranted federally sanctioned action.
Proposals
Possible ideas for ethnic recognition months included Native American, Jewish, Chinese, Japanese, Eastern Asian, Hispanic, Western European, Russian, British, Italian and Irish History Months. Each proposal listed reasons for those races to be specifically recognized.
Proposal Support
#Native American History Month: Argued that Native Americans as a group had been discriminated against by the federal government and robbed of their cultural homeland and basic civil rights. Also argued that Native American culture had been an integral part of forming the early fabric of America
#Jewish History Month: Argued that Jewish culture was often regarded as a safe topic for discrimination and humor. Also argued that Jewish citizens of America had fought against numerous instances of unfairness to contribute to American society
#Chinese History Month: Argued that the Chinese population of America had been discriminated against since its arrival to America. The institution of quota systems and the near enslavement of Chinese immigrants in the creation of Western railroads were both obvious instances of discrimination. Chinese immigrants also have added significant contributions to society since their arrival in America
#Japanese History Month: Argued that the discriminatory actions of the government in interning Japanese citizens without habeas corpus during World War II were severely detrimental to Japanese citizenry in America. Also cited the contributions of many Japanese to American society
#Hispanic History Month: Argued Hispanics are often the butt of racially charged jokes in America and that Hispanic citizens are a driving force in America's economy
#British, Italian, and Irish History Months: Cited the influence of British, Irish, and Italian immigrants in the creation and formation of America through all of its history. Also cited the creation of the American Constitution and its roots in British Enlightenment thought

Haméd (Hayden) Vakili is a film critic based in Toronto, Canada who regularly writes for the Silk Road Art Magazine which is published monthly in Stockholm, Sweden.
Controversy
Vakili is, noted that the world's contemporary cinema situation is not like the growth and shining period in the 40s to the 70s. Many of the great ones have gone; Akira Kurosawa, Stanley Kubrick, Krzysztof Kieslowski, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Ingmar Bergman. Therefore, in Europe and Japan, there are no serious classical filmmakers left. Only America's cinema has been able to maintain its success (principally as a technological form of entertainment).
The passionate filmmakers in search of identity and truth can change history and also our concept of history. Baiocco is not begging in The Bicycle Thief, he is demanding his rights. These artists are purifying their nation. National pride can be seen clearly in Japanese and Italian art. We don't see evidence of these countries calamities in their cinema. For example: Yasujiro Ozu, announces his national message in a completely Japanese-style form. This is characteristically a “tendence” in cinema. International cinema, in this sense, is national cinema and national cinema is worldwide. The more profound an art form is of national nature, the more worldwide it becomes! But there is much hope in young filmmakers who are passionate about their national identity and truth.
