Kingston University dispute
The employment dispute between Dr Fredrics and Kingston University involves several interrelated issues such as work place bullying within academia, allegations of harassment as well as an intellectual property dispute over a web domain.
After publishing allegations about work place bullying at Kingston University Dr Howard Fredrics was the subject of a harassment allegation by the Vice Chancellor of the University Sir Peter Scott. Fredrics pleaded not guilty to the harassment charge and was preventing from updating the website as a condition of his bail. However, In 2009 Fredrics was found guilty
Fredrics did however win a dispute over the url www.sirpeterscott.com which Fredrics used to air grievances about Kingston University. The World Intellectual Property Organisation ruled that Sir Peter Scott does not have a monopoly of the use of his name as a trade mark.

Postgenre, a genre in and of itself, is the postmodern approach to creating music and art in the internet age.
Inherent in the postgenre ethos is a dutiful strive towards the elimination of cultural bias and stylistic limitations.
The movement is a necessary result of globalization and the information age, as modern artists now have both the ability to be influenced by virtually everything in recorded human history at once and more accessible means of creation than any generation in the past has enjoyed. The modern song, as a product of everything which preceded it, sounds like none of it but celebrates the present, joining all media and styles.

Geomajas is an Open Source GIS framework for building rich web-based GIS applications.
It has extended functionality to display, edit and manage geospatial information.
Geomajas focuses on server-side integration of multiple geospatial data sources and allows multiple users to control and manage that data through the use of common web browsers.
Geomajas is a foundation framework to create applications that follow open standards as defined by the OGC and the INSPIRE directive.
In this respect, Geomajas is able to integrate data compatible with the OGC Web Map Server (WMS) specification and the OGC Web Feature Server (WFS) specification.
Supported data sources and formats are amongst others: WMS, WFS, WFS-T, ESRI shape, Google raster layer, and OpenStreetMap raster layer.
Geomajas has a modular architecture to facilitate extensibility. It enables developers to build additional modules and/or plug-ins. An example of such a module is the component-based Printing Module which was presented at FOSS4G in 2009.
Geomajas is developed in Java and is built using framework technologies such as Spring and Hibernate.
It leverages a number of other Open Source libraries like GeoTools, Hibernate Spatial, JTS, and iText.
The Geomajas Open Source Project is currently under incubation with the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (ticket #506).
Geomajas is released under the Affero GNU Public License (AGPL).
Geomajas was build by Jan De Moerloose, Pieter De Graef and others and is under active development.
