Fibre Channel over Token Ring (FCoTR) is a new protocol, first proposed on July 15, 2010 at the Seattle Tech Field Day 2010. It was first proposed by Ethan Banks, a well known industry veteran with many protocols under his belt.
Information about this protocol is sparse at this time, for obvious reasons, but there is a blog and an alliance already created.
Layer 2 protocol considerations
LLC2 transport over Token Ring ensures reliable end-to-end delivery on Layer 2, but is not used by FCoTR due to its small windows sizes and limited packet sizes. It has been decided to implement a totally new thin layer on top of 802.5 to decrease the end-to-end latency and increase the window sizes to values comparable to jumbo frames on Gigabit Ethernet FCoE implementations.
Layer 2 routing
FCoTR uses layer-2 extensions for IS-IS but adds Token-Ring specific Type-Lenght-Value (TLV) attributes. Use of IS-IS and TLV extensions compatible with other modern bridging implementations ensure seamless integration of FCoTR with other converged infrastructure Fiber Channel solutions (for example, FCoE with TRILL or OTV).

The Halo Group is an independently owned, Manhattan-based marketing communications and branding agency that brings together an Executive Roundtable of seasoned marketing, branding, creative, traditional, digital and mobile advertising, public relations and social media experts to work with a select list of international clients.
History
Denise Goodwin Pace and Linda Passante founded the agency as Halo Advertising and Marketing Communications in 1994.
By 2002, the agency had undergone several changes including agency name and location. As The Halo Group of New York City, the two partners, Pace and Passante, aimed to reflect the company’s expanded services in public relations, strategic planning, sales promotion and direct mail. Halo’s business model, combining integrated communications services and senior team attention, attracted a diverse roster of clients.
Co-Founder & CEO, Linda Passante, has been recognized within the industry as a “branding guru,” authoring articles published by Adweek
and other publications.
Her success has been duly noted, as she was presented with the Stevie Awards for Women in Business - Best Entrepreneur of 2007.
Industry recognition
Since its founding, The Halo Group has been honored with almost 250 creative awards in the Graphis, Telly, Summit , Addy and BOLI, Admissions Awards and Interactive Media Awards for its print, radio, TV, direct mail, out of home and new media campaigns over the past 15 years.
The Halo Group was recently acknowledged for the Guy Carpenter (Division of Marsh & McLennan Companies) new brand campaign launch. The origami-themed campaign, using global currencies to personify the company’s unique way of looking at risk, was launched in the Fall of 2007. The campaign was expressed in many forms, from a Capital ldeas website, to print advertisements, online components and event themes.
PR Week recognized The Halo Group's online game created to drive veterinary student prospects to the St. George's University web site. The interactive game featured a sarcastically rude "Lemur Swami," who challenged players to answer questions about animals, insulting them when they answered incorrectly.
The Halo Group announced its 128th and 129th awards for SGU with Silvers in the international Summit Awards and Admissions Advertising Awards shows. It follows a Silver Medallion for the same client in last year’s Awards for Advertising and Marketing Effectiveness.
The Halo Group announced its 130th award for SGU with a 2010 Bronze Telly Award. The 16-Year Partnership Yields Continuing Industry Honors for Agency.
Company Progression
The Halo Group announced the launch of Morgan Freeman's nonprofit organization, PLAN!T NOW on December 19, 2007. The agency worked to build a brand for the organization that will empower people to prepare through information and connection, and to provide a dialogue between hurricane-affected communities and those yet to be affected in high-risk coastal or island geographies in the US, Mexico and Caribbean.
January 28, 2009, The Halo Group coined the term “tradigional.” Described as a hybrid approach to their business, the agency announced a staff that handles both traditional marketing and digital marketing efforts.
With mainstream emphasis of the existing agency model being “broken” or even “dead,” The Halo Group announced the launch of a campaign promoting its collaborative work style on October 6, 2009.
On April 6, 2010, The Halo Group announced their position as agency of record with client Mount Airy Casino Resort.
On June 28, 2010, The Halo Group announced their position as agency of record with client Liebherr Refrigeration North America.

"The Randumb Show" is the longest running TV show in the history of the Pepperdine University broadcasting department, produced solely by students. The show has generated more people who go on to work in the entertainment industry than any other show on campus.
Since Mike the show has seen various producers and formats. During the 2009-2010 season Seth Allison & Jeff Loveness produced the show with Grant Harling Directing and Kyle Helf and Mishy Turner as key contributors. This was the first year the show has been completely field produced. It took on more of a Monty Python's Flying Circus Feel. They Produced 6 episodes including a special 15 year Anniversary show in which they brought back Mike Richards and filmed on the set of The Price is Right with Drew Carey.
The upcoming 2010-2011 season Seth Allison is back producing with Blake Curtis (Senior) and Hayden Christensen (Sophomore) as co-producers. The format will be similar to the last with possible in-studio production.
History
The show originated in 1995 When Michael G. Richards was kicked off the News team because he made too many jokes on air. He was allotted a space on what was then TV3 (later TV26, and currently TV32), Pepperdine's channel on Charter Cable. He hosted and produced the show in a late night talk show style where he would call up guests, roll a number of sketches and usually have a musical guest perform live.
