CJ Werleman (born 18 June 1973) is an Australian American journalist, author, columnist, and political commentator. He has published six books and more than 200 opinion-editorials for The Contributor, Salon, American Herald Tribune, and Middle East Eye.
Plagiarism
In October 2014, professor Peter Boghossian brought Werleman's plagiarism of Vali Nasr's The Dispensable Nation to the attention of Stephen Knight of the Godless Spellchecker's Blog. Subsequent investigation by both Knight and Boghossian revealed that Werleman had repeatedly plagiarized the work of numerous writers including Fareed Zakaria, William Broyles Jr., Robert Pape, and Eduardo Porter.
Upon learning of this discovery, reporter Michael Luciano of The Daily Banter began searching for more instances of plagiarism, unearthing over a dozen additional examples drawn from a wide range of sources including works by attorney and secular activist David Niose, author Hedrick Smith, reports by Pew Research Center and by People for the American Way, a speech given by U.S. President Barack Obama, and . Werleman responded to the allegations in a Facebook post, admitting some instances of plagiarism.
AlterNet went on to remove all of Werleman's articles from their archives and issued an apology to readers and those who had been plagiarized. Salon also addressed Werleman's plagiarism in their "Corrections" section under 2014, telling readers that plagiarized passages would be marked with bold text and hyperlinks to the original sources.
Falsified video
In a December 2015 tweet, Werleman falsely cited images of Guatemalan soldiers "roughing up" a teenager as being "...Israeli soldiers beating and torturing Palestinian detainees in occupied West Bank." The original video of the Guatemalan soldiers was first posted by Al Jazeera and shown on Yahoo! News.
Published books
In October 2009, his debut book was published, God Hates You. Hate Him Back, criticizing the character of Yahweh in the Old and New Testament of the Bible. In September 2010, Werleman's second book Jesus Lied. He Was Only Human was released. Koran Curious was published in 2011, using Rashad Khalifa's self-published Koran translation. Werleman released Crucifying America: The Unholy Alliance between the Christian Right and Wall Street, in November 2013. He published Atheists Can't Be Republicans: If Facts And Evidence Matter in June 2014 and The New Atheist Threat: the Dangerous Rise of Secular Extremists in July 2015.

Patton Limited is a company providing specialised products and engineered solutions in refrigeration and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) technologies. Head-quartered in Auckland and operating out of 30 offices located across New Zealand, Australia, Thailand and India, it has more than 200 staff and a $73 million global turnover.
The company is led by its current CEO Sameer Handa, who is based in Auckland. Born and raised in India, Handa shifted to New Zealand early during his career and rose up to be the chief executive at Patton within four years of association.
History
George Patton founded 'GE Patton Limited' in 1923 at Christchurch. Within a decade of operations, it had begun to produce a range of domestic refrigerators and ice cream cabinets for the local market. Subsequently, chest freezers, absorption refrigerators and frozen food cabinets were added to the product portfolio.
Sometime in the 70s, the business changed its name to 'Patton Refrigeration' with the head office at Auckland. During the 80s, the focus shifted towards commercial refrigerators and a manufacturing and distribution facility was started at Sydney, Australia. Early in to the new millennium, 9 branches had opened up in New Zealand.
A Melbourne branch followed in 2004. 2006 saw the establishment of a joint venture with 'Metjak' to expand the business in West Australia. The business expanded to Thailand in 2007 in the name of 'Patton Aero', which was later certified as ISO:9001. In the same year, a sales office was opened at New Delhi, India. An outlet was also launched in Central Queensland in Australia.
In 2008, Patton acquired 'Mellcott Refrigeration' at Victoria, Australia. With 'Patton Brisbane' being set up, the group had a total of 7 outlets in Australia. During the same year, the company name was also changed to 'Patton Limited' to reflect inclusion of HVAC in addition to industrial refrigeration services.
Products
Patton has a range of Unit Coolers from 200 to 60000 Watts. Its series of coolers are distinguished and identified by their alphabetical codes.
Its Air Cooled Condenser products range from 3600 to 1032600 Watts (@15 KTD). Combining high optimized coils and low energy fans, these condensers are built using heat transfer technology.
The Condensing Units of Patton are customizable and range from fractional (Embraco) to 60 HP in power and hermetic and scroll to digital scroll and semi-hermetic in design.
Recent events
In February 2014, Patton Ltd. was appointed as second distributor to 'Danfoss', an HVAC manufacturer based in New Zealand. In December 2014, Patton announced its distributorship of 'ActronAir', a commercial and domestic air conditioning solutions provider.
During early 2015, Patton Limited was acquired by 'Beijer Ref AB' (a Swedish refrigeration wholesaler group) along with 'Realcold', another established player in the Australian market. The process of re-branding is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
In August 2015, Patton announced its appointment as exclusive distributor for 'SCM Frigo Refrigeration Systems' in New Zealand, Australia and the South Pacific region.
Awards and accomplishments
Patton Group emerged as one of the finalists in July 2014’s 'AmCham - DHL Express Success & Innovation Awards' held in New Zealand.
In November 2014, Patton won 'Business Excellence in Export to India Award' at the annual Indian Newslink Indian Business Awards. Patton New Zealand won the 'Best Large Business Award' and 'Supreme Business Award' at Indian Business Awards 2015.

:For other uses of prescience, see precognition.
The fallacy of prescience is a term used by Smith, DeShaye and Stoicheff to describe an erroneous exploratory research technique in which the experimental scaffolding embeds assumptions about what will be discovered. The example cited describes a common practice in Humanities Computing in which an XML database and schema are designed at the outset of a research project to annotate a document as a means of discovering the structural relationships within the subject text. The fallacy, they say, arises from the fact that some inferences must be made about the structures that will be discovered in order to construct the schema that will describe them. The fallacy of prescience can be viewed as a procedural manifestation of the informal fallacy of begging the question.
