International Book Week is an awareness week mentioned in a socially generated internet meme where users of social networking sites share arbitrary lines from nearby books. The meme has existed in some form for several years, sometimes in unofficial celebration of World Book Day, and it appeared widely on social networking sites during the third week of September 2012. The meme specifies no start or end date for International Book Week, and there is no instruction to stop copying the meme once the week would be over.
