Timothy A. Hill (born November 9, 1981 in Fort Wayne, Indiana) is the congressional press secretary working for Tennessee 1st U.S. House District Representative David Davis in Washington, D.C.

Hill, who resided in Blountville, Tennessee prior to working for Davis, is also the younger brother of Tennessee State Representative Matthew Hill.

Early career

Hill graduated high school from Tri-Cities Christian School. He then attended East Tennessee State University, where he graduated with a major in Mass Communications.

Prior to working for Davis, Hill was employed by the 501(c)(3) non-profit Appalachian Educational Communication Corporation (AECC; d.b.a. as WHCB 91.5 FM amd the Cameo Theatre) and the for-profit Information Communications Corporation (d.b.a. WPWT 870 AM, WHGG, WABN) where Hill worked on-air as a politiclly conservative WPWT "Good Morning Tri-Cities" talk radio show host. Hill's father, Dr. Kenneth C. Hill manages the AECC non-profit and owns a 51% share of ICC.

Both the AECC and ICC radio studios and offices are found on the first floor of the Leitner Pharmaceuticals Building loacted at 340 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blouevard in Bristol, Tennessee. The Lietner Pharmaceuticals Building is owned by the SJ Strategic Investments, LLC that itself is owned by former King Pharmaceuticals, Inc. CEO John M. Gregory. The Tennessee Conservative PAC founded by Gregory is also located with the Leitner Pharmaceuticals Building.

Concurrently with his employment at the AECC and ICC radio station operations, Hill also worked for four years as the President of his Bristol, Tennessee based Southeastern Public Relations firm. Hill reportedly left the AECC and ICC radio station operations to begin working on the 2006 campaign to elect David Davis into the U.S. House of Representatives.

2007 political bio blanking controversy

A newspaper article first appeared within the August 11, 2007 edition of the Knoxville News-Sentinel (Tennessee) in which Hill denied any personal involvement in the "blanking" vandalism of the articles David Davis and Matthew Hill (Matthew Hill is a Representative within the Tennessee General Assembly and older brother of the press secretary) during a first telephonic interview with a KNS reporter. Hill later called back the KNS reporter for a second interview, in which he reportedly admitted
to using a government computer within the Washington, D.C. congressional office of Davis to edit both the David Davis and Matthew Hill articles.

In actuality, Hill repeatedly removed several paragraphs of reference text from each article pertaining to both Davis' and Matthew Hill's political lobbying and/or campaign finance connections to Altace, Hoechst AG through former King Pharmaceuticals, Inc. CEO John M. Gregory. Hill's article edits were then linked through the article histories back to Davis's congressional office via an IP (Internet Protocol) number to the U.S. House of Representatives Information System.
