The Attack of the Show Incident
On September 7, 2006, G4's Attack of the Show ran a segment that included a video depicting how to kill 60,000 zombies in the Xbox 360 video game Dead Rising. This video had been authored by, and published to YouTube by an Aeropause Games writer, but was shown on a live national television broadcast without referencing this source. Aeropause Games contacted G4 and posted about the incident on their blog, to which G4 responded with their own blog post and video expressing their regret on the oversight.
Guitar Hero III Set List Break
Six weeks before the launch of Guitar Hero III, Aeropause found the full set list and proceeded to post the list for the Internet to view. Shortly after publishing the list, 1UP.com, Kotaku and other notable blogs picked up the list and verified its accuracy.
Investigative Reporting At GameStop
A writer at Aeropause noticed a GameStop that was putting open PC game cases on the shelves with CD keys being directly visible by any individual. Upon looking at cases for other PC games, it was noted that several of them had their codes readily available. Expanding the scope of his search, the writer noted that several Gamestop stores were engaging in this practice. Ultimately this culminated in an article that both GamePolitics and MaximumPC picked up to let consumers know about the poor Gamestop practice.
In 2007, Aeropause Games launched its own video game industry podcast, Aeropodcast.
