Luu Nguyen, known by his stage name LAzee Luu, is a Vietnamese American hip hop artist best known for his single, "Baseball Cap" featuring Preson (2007). Born a Leo in August, he grew up in Los Angeles County within the city of Gardena. Being able to express himself through music, composing, producing, and performing had always been his passion.
Started as a hobby, it all happened back in 2002. After getting home from school one day, Luu was very agitated due to a previous fight that he was involved in. Long story-short, he needed some music to calm him down. While going through his playlist, Luu ran into an unfamiliar song that he have never heard before. It was an instrumental he had mistakenly downloaded. As Luu was listening to it, random thoughts just jumped into his head, and before he knew it, he was freestyling off the medulla oblongata. Having just a cheap desktop mic, a set of headphones, a computer, and a few helpful programs, Luu made my very first song ever on that same day. From there on he became LAzee Luu.
In late 2003, Luu and his family moved to Orange County. Having to make new friends and starting a new life was hard the first few years but after adapting and getting to know the locals, He loves it OC. The friends and fans here are great. Through their feedback and support, they motivate him to continue making music.
In addition to his work as a performing rapper, LAzee Luu is also an audio engineer at Buzzin Studios in Anaheim, CA. The studio is well known for its association with projects of Orange County artists such as Preson, Jay Black, EJAY, Tim pLEase, J Treezy and Trin Monster. As a recording engineer, LAzee Luu has worked with acts such as Poreotix.
