Roland Legrand was born in a North Parisian suburb on June 13, 1950 at 6:02 pm, under the sign of Gemini with an Ascendant in Scorpio. The Sun is in “House VIII”, in his natal chart, partly explaining his innate interest in occult sciences in general and of course, astrology…
He began the study of astrology in the early seventies, in Australia, where he lives since December 1969. Several years of practice were necessary before he decided to synthesize his acquired knowledge of the subject and adapt astrology to his own intentions: professional consulting and teaching.
He began to actually consult in 1977 and, thanks to an propitious encounter with an American writer based in Queensland, Australia, Roland Legrand founded ABLAS in December 1982 at the business registrar in Brisbane, Australia.
ABLAS stands for A Better Life Astrology School, which is dedicated to teaching astrology by correspondence both in English and French languages.
Roland Legrand’s aim is essentially to contribute to the progress of this science, through teaching, consulting, researching and writing.
To this day, three of his books have been published (in French) by two different publishers, GRANCHER and PARDES.
He also writes for a French magazine (NUMEROLOGIA) and for L’EST REPUBLICAIN, a daily provincial newspaper in eastern France.

A subgenre of ‘electro’ that combines the electronic beat driven tech-house style of bands such as Justice, Daft Punk etc with moodier themes and lyrically driven songs ( many with less traditional lyrical themes and recurring conceps of mortality, sin, religion etc ).
In terms of genre placement, Death Electro draws it’s inspiration primarily from French Electro, Industrial, Synth-pop, 80’s pop, Indie Rock, Post-Punk, New Wave, New Romantic and EBM, with lesser ( but noticeable ) nods to Blues, Outlaw Country and Hip Hop.
Bands such as Goteki, Presets, I AM X, Neon Neon, DJ Hell, The Knife could all be described as Death Electro bands.

Johnny Shacklett is a guitarist, inventor, music teacher and theorist who epitomizes the term "a musician's music." He worked for the Oscar Mayer company in Madison, Wisconsin, after moving to the state capitol from his home town of Indianapolis, Indiana, where he was an early friend of guitarist-legend Wes Montgomery and organist Melvin Rhyne. In Madison he designed and constructed a "jazz harp" by welding together 5-6 electric guitars, in the midst of which the performer situated himself. A long-playing album, Johnny Shacklett at the Hoffman House, which he recorded on the curious instrument in 1969 was never reissued on CD and since become a collector's item. Since Down Beat magazine singled out the album in its Viny Treasures feature, it has become a collector's item, appearing sporadically on auction sites and claiming high prices from bidders around the world. In Madison he served as a teacher and inspiration to musicians such as the prolifically recorded musician-author-producer-NPR announcer Ben Sidran and English professor-pianist-jazz critic Samuel Chell. He was an unusually organized and systematic musician who could be counted on to dominate a session with his carefully worked-out chordal progressions and rhythmic patterns. If he failed to come anywhere close to the fame of Wes Montgomery, it was not for lack of confidence. Yet he was never too prideful or self-absorbed to give freely of his time to up and coming musicians, regardless of their instrument. Although critic Dan Morgenstern once called trumpeter Kenny Dorham a synonym for "underrated," the same could be said for Shacklett and countless numbers of musicians like him--highly skilled, even visionary, artists who found out that for the genuinely creative artist, fame and wealth are rarely among the fruits of their labors.
