He is considered to be one of the best orthodontists and oral and maxillofacial surgeons in Erbil and the Kurdistan Region. Currently, he is the dean of dentistry in Knowledge University. Also, he is the general manager in Smile Infinity in Dream City, Erbil. He used to be the general manager of Salamati Hospital and head of the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery in Tishk University. Alan Qassab has been the first international speaker in dentistry from the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, participating in many dental conferences, including the MGM Implant Prosthetics Conference in Turkey and the AIDC Conference in Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt. He is also the first Iraqi member of the British Academy of Implant Dentistry Advisory Board.
