Shatter My World (SMW) is a five-piece local hard rock/alternative band formed in Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA). Each member comes from metal, hardcore, and death metal roots (via bands such as Bleeding Perfection, Drain the Life, The Storm and others). The members of Shatter My World have set out to go back to the drawing board of rock and completly re-invent themselves into a "panty-dropping-rock-your-face-off-force to be reckoned with." The band is ready to set the record straight with what they consider to be "catchy hooks, solid rock grooves, and solos that will melt your face and keep you coming back for more every show."

History
SMW started in September of 2007 when Brock’s former band (Bleeding Perfection) and Bryan’s former band (The Storm) disbanded. The two decided to start to work together again after five years, but wanted to go in a different direction. Both were doing death metal/metalcore projects that each did relatively well. For instance, both bands were signed and The Storm had even been on tour a great deal.
They wanted to do something more mainstream; something that they both really enjoyed. It gave them the chance to express themselves to the fullest, musically speaking. Ex-guitarist from Bleeding Perfection, Adam Figeroua, joined the band. This ignited the immediate writing and recording of three songs in a single day that were then posted on their myspace. These three releases are 'Don't Let Go', 'Fade', and 'Hallow'.
Days later, they were offered to perform at a cancer benefit at Kirby Park by Krysta Hannon. Given the oppurtunity, they practiced for two weeks and learned new songs with the help of close friend Chuck Donahue (member of Beyond Fallen). They came out on their first show with some of the biggest bands local to the NEPA area. Eventually, they recruited Jeff Korus on guitar and Dave Kenderdine on bass. After a few more shows, however, Dave Kenderdine had to depart from the band due to personal reasons. and was then replaced by Tom Lopes. There has been quick response and fans gained just as quickly. They are currently signed to Zoo Entertainment (independent music label).
