Roby became a financial advisor in 1975. He eventually built a resume as a salesperson, manager, trainer, and investment wholesaler. Later he served as the head of the Financial Institution Marketing Department in an international financial planning firm.
Roby currently works as a sales / marketing strategist, motivational speaker, and business coach. In Finding the Hero in You, Roby examines the role of heroes in one’s life and the process of becoming a hero. He stresses the importance of the individual to their business, customers, and family. Roby attempts to break down “limiting beliefs” that he claims are preventing companies and organizations from reaching their potential in his Quantum Business Breakthrough presentation. He advocates expanding belief systems on both an individual and corporate level to promote company growth. He also stresses the importance of word-of-mouth and teaches strategies designed to build a marketing program based on referrals. He claims that the positive experience created for the clientele by such customer service results in brand recognition and customer loyalty. Furthermore, he teaches corporations to tailor their business plan to the needs of the firm and customers rather than the other way around. Roby also speaks of the role of “tradition” in enhancing the professional culture of a company that he claims will promote success in the future.
Roby’s professional slogan is “Big Vision - Big Ideas - Big Results.” Typical Roby presentations include keynote speeches, seminars, and workshops. In addition, he provides sales and marketing strategy consultations.

The Lazys are an Australian rock band from the Central Coast of NSW, known for their hard work (an ironic trait seeing as they are called The Lazys) and their incredibly energy-filled live shows. Their image as a hard-working band is due to their commitment to massive touring schedules and recording sessions. Based in Sydney, The Lazys are Leon Harrison (lead vocals), Matt Morris (lead guitar), Ant Kurjakovich (guitar), Glen 'Willy' Williams (bass) and Tyler Bennison (drums).
History
The Lazys emerged in 2006, building a solid grass roots fan base stretching from Brisbane to Tasmania with their pulsating live shows, constantly filled with raw hard rock and energy.
They toured nationally with Something With Numbers (a fellow Central Coast band) to 20,000 fans Australia-wide. The following 2-3 years saw the band go on to play with such international bands as Against Me (US), The Answer (UK), Juliette and the Licks (US), as well as Grinspoon and After the Fall. Juliette Lewis was later photographed wearing a Lazys T-Shirt.
June 2008 saw the band getting into the studio with Phil McKellar (producer for successful bands such as Grinspoon, Silverchair, Kisschasy and The Getaway Plan). This established the band into Australia’s mass conscious, with the singles “All Fired Up” and “Union of the Underdogs” being released in July 2008. This caught the attention of Australian Music legend Michael Chugg, who managed to score the band a spot in the Jack Daniels sponsored 'JD Set'.
After a Something With Numbers gig at an Adelaide pub, Will Oakeshott made this review of The Lazys:
"The best way to describe these guys is that they play dirty, old school rock and roll, and even better, they do it very well. Featuring some of the best live stage antics I have had the pleasure of being witness to, incredible guitar solos and an energy which every band member contributes so much toward, its really quite an extravaganza..."
Channel 7's hit TV cop drama City Homicide featured one of The Lazys songs 'Authority' during a fight scene in the episode 'Lie Down With Dogs', which aired 3rd September, 2007 (Season 1, Episode 3). It can be viewed at the following link, and begins 5 minutes 50 seconds into the video:

EP's
The band currently have two EP's ('The Lazys' and 'Nicotine Soul') and a single out at the moment, and they are currently working on an LP for early 2009. The single contains re-recorded versions of 'All Fired Up' and 'Union of the Underdogs', which appear on earlier EP's. These have been released and are the first Lazys songs that can be requested on the radio stations Nova 96.9 and Triple J.
The JD Set
The Jack Daniel's 'JD Set' was a nationwide competition which searched for the best live band in Australia. The Lazys, after Australian Music legend Michael Chugg noticed them and got them a spot in it, scored a record number of votes to make it into the third round of the competition. They set off around Australia performing their hard honest rock'n'roll from Sydney to Perth. The lead singer, Leon, even twisted his knee after jumping 20 feet off the top of the marshall cabinets at the Gaelic club in Surry Hills, Sydney. The band just jumped back on the tour bus and headed off to Perth (crutches and all) for the final set.
On the 20th November 2008, at the grand finale of the JD Set at the Prince Bandroom, Melbourne, Channel presenter Jabba was the first man on stage. He first explained how the competition worked, and reading through a list of nominees, he announced the winner to be Sydney act The Lazys. The band jumped on stage and took in the moment. They then performed to the crowd their Aussie pub rock with plenty of enthusiasm. Lead guitarist Matt Morris did his trademark solo which often involves walking through the crowd and playing on top of the bar, and he didn't disappoint. Leon jumped around the stage belting out the hits that made them champions, such as 'Love Your Gun', 'Authority', 'All Fired Up' and 'Union of the Underdogs'. They only had a few of their nationwide hardcore fans in attendance, but it was easy to see why they were voted in as the JD Set Award winner.
As Something With Numbers front man Jake Grigg announced on stage to 600 frenzied fans, "Ladies and Gentleman I give you the best, hardest working Rock and Roll band in Australia - THE LAZYS!"
The band are currently in the studio recording a 5 track EP which is due for release in March when they will tour nationwide supported by Jack Daniels.
