Derek Deakins (born April 9, 1983 in Kingsport, Tennessee) is a musician known for his fiddle playing with the Osborne Brothers and country star, Blake Shelton.
Deakins was born in Kingsport, Tennessee, a town in East Tennessee. He began playing the fiddle at age 6. In 1992, after meeting his hero, Roy Acuff, Derek knew that he wanted to pursue country music as a living. After graduating from high school, Derek moved to Nashville and started college at Belmont University. Within the first month of being in Nashville, Deakins landed his first professional sideman job with Bill Monroe's son, James Monroe. Growing up in East Tennessee, Derek had always loved bluegrass music and learned many of Bill Monroe's famous instrumental/fiddle tunes. Having the rich background in that type of music helped Deakins land the job with Monroe. After working with James over a year, Derek went to work with Grand Ole Opry legends, the Osborne Brothers. Playing with such a famous, polished, legendary group, Derek was able to expand his playing skills and gain a lot of experience on stage and in the recording studio. In 2005, Derek graduated with a music degree from Belmont and began playing fiddle for country star Blake Shelton. He currently tours with Shelton and in his free time, writes, produces, and records his own music.
Solo Musical Projects
Deakins, to date, has recorded three solo albums:
"If I Could Give The World" (2001), "Bluegrass, The Fiddle, and Me" (2003), and "Double Fiddle Time" (2005).
Personal Life
Derek is engaged to fellow fiddle player, Lisa Manning from Burlington, North Carolina. The couple recorded a twin fiddle CD in 2005 called "Double Fiddle Time." Lisa plays in country music legend and Grand Ole Opry member, Bill Anderon's band.

Overview
Russian real estate prices vary significantly from region to region. Government, financial sector, and large private businesses are concentrated in Moscow and St. Petersburg, inflating prices there. Private property prices in central Moscow are comparable with most expensive Western cities such as New York and London.
In Moscow, average property prices rose from 700/sq.m in 2000 to over 5 000/sq.m in 2008. Approximately half of that growth took place in 2006. Prices have started to rise in 2008 after a minor correction in 2007.
Other cities have experienced similar growth, although remaining more affordable. For example, in Ulyanovsk, average apartment prices grew from $300 per square meter in 2002 to $1100 per square meter in 2007.
It is unclear whether the rise in prices represents a bubble condition, as the average income (along with inflation) is rising at similar rates. Accurate data on income distribution is difficult to establish, making the real estate pricing mostly speculative.
Current situation
As of 2006, several areas of the world are thought by some to be in a bubble state, although the subject is highly controversial.
*Real estate bubble
*British property bubble
*Chinese property bubble
*Indian property bubble
*Irish property bubble
*Japanese asset price bubble
*Romanian property bubble
*Russian property bubble
*South Korean property bubble
*Spanish property bubble
*United States housing bubble

La Vie Theatre is a small theatre company based in the Twin Cities. Formed in 2003 by Jason Schommer, Becca Jo Malmstrom, Nate Maher, and Corinne Shor the company produces often light-hearted plays, usually with a focus on comedy. They often incorporate song and dance and gay themes into their productions. The company used to perform at the now-defunct Fourth Street Theater in Saint Paul, Minnesota and held the distinction of being the only company to ever sell out the house. La Vie's latest play, Wonderland, an adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, updated and set in a gay dance club, became the best-selling show at the 2006 Minnesota Fringe Festival.
