Typecon 2008

TypeCon is an annual convention presented by the Society of Typographic Aficionados. The 10th iteration of this event, themed “Punkt” was held at the Hyatt Regency in Buffalo, New York between July 15–20, 2008. The conference offered workshops and lectures covering topics such as letterpress, typography, history, and print. The convention was sponsored by the Western New York Book Arts Collaborative, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and the University at Buffalo, as well as other local schools and non-profit organizations.

Presenters included Stefan Sagmeister and Erik Spiekermann.

Yvonne DeLaRosa (born 1978) is an American actress. She has appeared in film, television, and theater productions.

Early life

DeLaRosa was born in Los Angeles, California, to a Colombian mother and a Native American father. She studied theater and earned a BA and MFA in Theater, Film and Television from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.

Career

DeLaRosa began her acting career in the late 1990s. She had a starring role in the Fox television series Señor White (2003).

Her other television credits include guest roles in Strong Medicine (2003), Judging Amy (2005), The King of Queens (2005), The Closer (2005), Crossing Jordan (2006), Shark (2006), Eli Stone (2008), How I Met Your Mother (2008), Los Americans (2011), and Law & Order: LA (2011). Her film roles include Helter Skelter (2004 TV movie), Desolation Canyon (2006 TV movie), Blue Sombrero (2005), Benny Bliss and the Disciples of Greatness (2009), The Sorrow (2012), and The Lears (2017). She has also performed in theater productions, including works by Josefina López.

Personal life

DeLaRosa is married to filmmaker Sam Boyer. They have one daughter.
