The Leo Club of Kota Bharu Central sponsored by Lions Club of Kota Bharu was formed on 1981.
This club is located in The Lions Club International District 308-B1, Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Malaysia. District 308-B1 consists of Johore State, Pahang State, Trengganu State, Kelantan State, Malacca State, Negeri Sembilan State & Kuala Lumpur. The current District Governor of 308-B1 is Lion Dr. JP Kamalanathan from Lions Club of Kuala Krai, Kelantan.

Lions Club of Kota Bharu
Charted on March 12, 1961, being one of the oldest Lions Club in the district currently has 40 members. This club had sponsored 1 alpha Leo Club - Leo Club of SMJK Chung Cheng and 1 omega Leo Club - Leo Club of Kota Bharu Central. The current club President is Lion Tommy Tan Yiew Khiam.


This club was famous with their signature project - Down Syndrome Centre. That started this centre on September 1997. The present center located at Lot 2211 Taman Rakyat, Jalan Pasir Hor, Kubang Kerian, 16150 Kota Bharu, Kelantan. After more than 10 years of teaching in a rented premise, the club is now embarking on the construction of their own purpose-built school and building. The Royal Highness the Sultan of Kelantan had consented the use of a plot of land at Jalan Merbau, Kota Bharu under the Majlis Agama Islam Kelantan to the club, to build their own permanent Down Sindrome Center. The club is currently raising RM 1 million to cover the cost of building, purchase of equipment, fitting and fixtures.


Youth Leadership Conference & Camp (YLC)
In 2007, Leo Lim Meng Zhen and friends started this project. The main aim of this project is to provide the youth the best leadership training program with the cheapest cost. This was now the signature project of Leo Club of Kota Bharu Central.

The 1st YLC was officiated by YB Dato’ Sri Ong Tee Keat, the current Minister of Transport of Malaysia on April 14, 2007 at PCB Resort, Kota Bharu Kelantan. This YLC was participated by 67 participants from SMJK Chung Cheng and SMJK Chung Hwa. The Organizing Chairman for this project is Leo Lim Meng Zhen and the Deputy Organizing Chairman is Leo Cheah Tze Chiat. The theme was “Youth Today : Leader Tomorrow”.


The 2nd YLC was organized on March 14-15, 2008 at Sweet Beach Resort, Kelantan. This YLC was participated by 93 participants. The Organizing Chairman for this project is Leo Lim Meng Zhen and the Deputy Organizing Chairman is Leo Ang Koon Xin. The theme was “Challenge of Change”.


The 3rd YLC was organized on March 14-16, 2009, located at PCB Resort, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. This YLC was participated by 78 participants. The Organizing Chairman for this project is Leo Kevin and the Deputy Organizing Chairman is Leo Lim Meng Zhen.The theme was “Generation Y : Xreamizing Life”.


All the YLC was consult by Elite Edutainment lead by Miss Apel Woo Chee Yin. She is one of the main trainers for the 1st and 2nd National Leadership Camp organized by Majlis Pengetua Sekolah-sekolah Menengah conforming Malaysia.


Dr. Adnan Omar, The Head of Counseling and Psychological Services Centre, Taylor’s University College had become the guest speaker for the 3rd YLC. He has spoken on the topic Physical Intimacy, Sex, and You. He had also become the key notes speakers to speak about the theme “Generation Y : Xreamizing Life”

Verdi NTNU is a student organization in Trondheim, Norway.
Verdi NTNU was founded 1th of May, 2004. Verdi NTNU's vision is to create a living financial milieu at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Verdi NTNU consists of a board, and three subdivisions: The Charity Fund, division for arrangement of events and the web division. 33 active, and 309 inactive members where registered per 3rd of November, 2008.
The Charity Fund manages Verdi NTNUs assets through investments at the Oslo Stock Exchange, and Verdi NTNU gives each year parts of its profits to charity. Verdi NTNU also arranges lectures with known people within the business life and has in the past brought people like Svein Gjedrem, Harald Magnus Andreassen and Peter Hermanrud to Trondheim.

Initially, he studied Physics at the State University of NY at Buffalo, where he received two Bachelor degrees; B.S. Physics and B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Sophie Morgan (b.1985) is a Reality TV contestent who has appeared on two BBC series - she was in series one of the BBC2 series 'Beyond Boundaries' (2005), and on the BBBC3 series 'Britain's Missing Top Model'(2008). She is a wheelchair user, a model and artist.
Morgan was born in Lewes in 1985. After being expelled from school in England, she was sent to Gordonstoun boarding school, an exclusive private school, in Scotland.
When she was 18, the day after receiving her A-Level results, Morgan broke her back in a car accident, which as a result, left her paralysed from the chest down for life. .”
Originally, Morgan had decided to study law. However after her accident, she changed her plans and decided to pursue a dream in art. Morgan completed her foundation year at Brighton College of Art in 2004, and received an unconditional offer to join the Fine Art Degree course at Goldsmith Art College in London where she is currently a student. Morgan is a regular presenter for Community Channel’s “Helping Others Can Help U." Morgan recently moved out of her parent’s house in Sussex and currently resides and studies in Covent Garden, London. She has one younger brother and a boyfriend, Tom. Morgan won Cosmopolitan “Girl of The Year” 2004. She is a volunteer for The Back Up Trust.
