Swaraj Udyan is a memorial park in Jorhat, Assam, India, dedicated to freedom fighters of the Indian independence movement. It is located near the Jorhat Central Jail, a colonial-era prison where several leaders of the movement were held and where Kushal Konwar was hanged in 1943. The park, which covers about 175 bighas, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on 11 March 2026. The cost of the project is estimated at 159 crore.
The Swargadeo Chaolung Siu-Ka-Pha Samannay Kshetra, commonly called the Sukapha Samannay Kshetra, is a memorial and museum complex at Mohbondha, near Dergaon in Jorhat district, Assam, India. It is dedicated to Sukaphaa (Siu-Ka-Pha), the first king of the Ahom kingdom, and commemorates 600 years of Ahom rule from 1228. The complex includes a museum, an art gallery and a park with a statue of Sukaphaa.
The Statue of Valour is a bronze statue of Lachit Borphukan, a commander of the Ahom kingdom, located at the Lachit Borphukan Maidam, in Hollongapar near Teok in Jorhat district, Assam, India. The statue is tall, comprising a figure on a pedestal. It was designed by the sculptor Ram V. Sutar and was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 9 March 2024.
The statue stands near the maidam (burial mound) of Lachit Borphukan and forms part of the Lachit Barphukan Maidam Development Project, which also includes a museum, an auditorium and a hostel.
SAI Stadium, Kokrajhar (also known as the Sports Authority of India Stadium, Kokrajhar or SAI STC Kokrajhar) is a multi-purpose stadium located in Kathalguri, on the outskirts of Kokrajhar town in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) of Assam, India. Primarily used for association football, the stadium is part of a wider Sports Authority of India Special Area Games / Sports Training Centre complex that also includes athletics, hockey and other facilities. The stadium has emerged as one of the principal football venues in Northeast India, having hosted matches of the Durand Cup and the Santosh Trophy, and is the home ground of Bodoland FC.
