Adam James Powell (born December 20 1976 in Newport, Wales) is a game programmer, businessman and the co-founder of Neopets.
Career
In 1997, Powell started Shout! Advertising, a UK-based advertising company which operated the third largest click-through program on the Internet by mid-1999. He also co-founded Netmagic, a successful business which designed and sold online banner advertising. Then in July 1999, he founded Powlex, which focused on web page design.
Neopets
Powell first had the idea of Neopets in 1997, while studying at Nottingham University.
He and his girlfriend Donna Williams started programming the site in September 1999, and launched the site two months later on November 15, 1999.
Powell programmed the entire site, created most of the original activities and games, and acted as head programmer and creative lead. Under Powell's management, Neopets went from nothing to over 140 million accounts and 5 billion pageviews per month.

Galwegian Power Thrash is a term used to describe the sound and energy of bands like Hellfire, the brain-child of Dylan Baldwin. Influenced by the NWOBHM and Bay Area thrash, songs are usually performed at fast tempos, feature heavily technical guitar parts and aggressive vocals. Despite metal gaining a negative image in today's society the lyrics are purely stories based on novels and motion picture instead of Satanism and violence. Songs often chronicle the events of comics such as Spawn and movies like the 1970s horror cult classic The Omen. The imagery associated with Galwegian Power Thrash is usually of a dark nature, featuring the reaper and anti-Christian references. The messages, which are rarely found, are usually against the tyranny Right Hand Path Religions.
The Lake Country Cyclones are a semi-pro football team based in Oconomowoc, WI.

The Cyclones have been in existence since 2003, competing in the post-season each year, and growing a strong fan base with their success. They play home games at Arrowhead Stadium, located on the North Campus of AHS in Hartland, WI. Players on the LC Cyclones come from as far south as Chicago, IL and north from Steven's Point, WI, east from Milwaukee and west from Madison. Anyone can try out. The roster size limit is 100, with a dress limit of 60, but with a dedicated coaching and support staff, a dedicated PR staff, a dedicated gameday staff, and a practice squad, there are options for anyone who wants to be a Cyclone. Players' skill levels range from high school through arena league experience.
