The Hindustani people are an Indo-Aryan ethno-linguistic group that is composed of those who are native speakers of the Hindustani language. They primarily live in Hindustan (used in the narrow sense), i.e., that region in northern India, east and south of Yamuna river, between the Vindhya mountains and the Himalayas, where the Hindustani language is spoken. This region consists of the four Indian States of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Haryana. Hindustani people are also found in significant numbers in the city of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, and in Pakistan (Muhajirs).

The Hindustani language is divided into two very similar dialects. Those Hindustanis that are Hindu (about 80%) speak the Hindi language, written in the Devanagari script, whereas those Hindustanis that are Muslim speak the Urdu language, written in Arabic script.

Hindustanis today

Today, the Hindustanis are advancing in all areas of science and technology, developing nuclear energy and space travel. Many business leaders in the computer industry, both in India and in Silicon Valley in the United States, are Hindustani.

Hindustani cuisine

Hindustani cuisine is based on rice, to which beans, meat, poultry, or fish may be added. The dishes are topped by various sauces, a favorite sauce being curry.

The Innocent Bystanders are a rock-n-roll band from Buffalo, New York. They are best known for catchy yet driving songs that find influences in both classic and contemporary music. Their first radio and video single is Under Wraps.

Members

Kevin Sampson - Lead vocals, piano, guitar

Brandon Adler - Guitar, keyboards, backing vocals

Scott Bernard - Drums and percussion, backing vocals

Chris Nanula - Bass, backing vocals

History

The four bandmates who today make-up the Innocent Bystanders found a common bond while students at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, a Catholic boys' high school in Buffalo. Sampson, Bernard and Nanula recorded and performed together in a previous classic-rock style band, Rock Masi, circa 2002-2005. That group disbanded in mid-2005, not long after which Sampson re-united with Scott and Chris, who would form the rhythm section of the new band. The group, which also would include Adler on guitar and keyboards, compiled a catalog of new songs and begin playing-out at shows in Buffalo and the surrounding area. Their schedule included stops anywhere from a go-cart track to Buffalo landmark, the Showplace Theatre.

After working through 2006 to record a self-produced demo, their work found their way into the hands of Lenny Silver, owner of local record label Amherst Records and area record store chain Record Theatre. Amherst Records and the band reached an agreement in June 2007 and were signed to the label that month. This cleared the way for work to begin on their professional debut album, and recording started at Buffalo's Audio Magic Studios. The eponymous, full-length recording is expected to be released in October 2007. The record is being produced by Nomadik, of the hip-hop duo Boss Playa$.

In the meantime, through the support of the record label, the band's first single, Under Wraps, was released to radio in July 2007, and has received steady airplay on Buffalo area station, , based in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The single is also available for purchase for $.99 at the iTunes Store, though searches for "Innocent Bystanders" or "Under Wraps." Finally, the group filmed a video for Under Wraps, available on YouTube. The song is currently getting airplay on Sirius Hits 1, as well as Z104 in Madison, WI. The song "Popsicles" won 5 nights in a maximum of 5 on 104.1 KRBE, Houston's "New Music Face Off" ending on July 15th.

Currently, the band and Amherst Records are finalizing the production of the album, which will include tracks such as "Take It Away," "Track Five," "Popsicles," "Susanne," and "Devil Plays the Piano." The group keeps its fans up-to-date with news and song samples via their MySpace page.

Kalki Bhagavan (b. March 7 1949) ) is the Indian founder of the spiritual movement known variously as Oneness University, Kalki Dharma, Bhagavad Dharma, and the Golden Age Foundation.
He was born Vijay Kumar in Arcot district, Tamil Nadu, and at various times has also used names such as Mukteshwar, Sri Kalki Bhagavan, and Sri Bhagavan.

Bhagavan and Amma (not to confused with Mata Amritanandamayi) claim to be two divine beings, or Avatars. They reside at Golden City, near Chennai, in India. Their stated mission is to bring all of humanity into the Golden Age. They claim that they will fully enlighten 64,000 people in the world. These people in a highly enlightened state of communion would transform the rest of the humanity by 2012.

According to them, this state of enlightenment is offered to seekers through a process known as deeksha. Deeksha is a transfer of divine energy that is said to be so powerful it has the ability to break through the concepts and conditioning of our mind.

Bhagavan is quoted as saying, "The mind of man is like a wall which divides man from God. The deeksha is an electrical energy that makes a hole in this wall, which we call the mind. Once this happens, then God and man can come to relate to each other."
