Sohonet has several uses:
- Sohonet is a global community-of-interest network for the television, film and media production community.
- Sohonet.com is a trading name of RunTime Technologies, the developer of RunTime SiteBuilder, software that facilitates the development of CMS-enabled web applications.
- SohoNet is an Operating System which was designed for Transaction Processing and is the core control system for the SohoStar network.
The Toronto Environmental Coalition describes itself as "a grassroots organization" made up of 12 professional lawn care companies". They are currently (May 2004) campaigning against the City of Toronto bylaw which would restrict pesticide use.
Their name seems to be an imitation of the anti-pesticide organization Toronto Environmental Alliance.
