The company was offering various individual manual work order records and registers. In 1992 Mr Scott, the company founder, started working on improving the product which resulted in a first version of FactoryMaster being written in a pre-Windows language.
In 1996 the first version of Windows-based FactoryMaster was launched. In the same year the company was registered as FactoryMaster LTD, as well as the software - FactoryMaster.

Ballyshannon VTOS was opened by County Donegal Vocational Education Committee Adult Education Service in the Adult Education and Training Centre in Ballyshannon (Ionad Oideachais Aosaigh agus Oiliuna Beal Atha Seanaidh in Irish) in 2002 and it offers a two year VTOS programme leading to a FETAC Level 5 Certificate in Business Studies (BSXXX).
VTOS is the Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme. It is a scheme that enables unemployed adults to return to learning at FETAC Level 4 and 5. VTOS is designed to meet the education and training needs of unemployed people which will enable them to progress directly to employment or to further education and training as a mature student in college after VTOS. The Ballyshannon VTOS Programme has undergone a quality assurance assessment to meet FETAC Quality Standards and is bound on an ongoing basis to maintain those standards at the highest level.
