R. Alexander Pyron (born 1988) is an American evolutionary biologist, herpetologist and a post-doctoral research fellow at Stony Brook University in New York City.
Alex grew up in Demorest, Georgia, with his parents Greg and Elizabeth Pyron, where he attended public school until 4th grade. Because he was not challenged enough, his mother took to home-schooling him for two years at which Alex took the ACT. His ACT scores were high enough for him to enter and gain acceptance into Piedmont College at age 12. Alex graduated in 2004 with a bachelor of science degree in biology at age 16. During his time at CSI, he received numerous grants for research studies including ones from the American Museum of Natural History Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Fund, the American Philosophical Society and one from the National Science Foundation Post-Doctoral Research Foundation in Informatics which allowed him to do further research at Stony Brook.<ref name="csitoday"/>
In January 2011, Alex will become the Robert F Griggs assistant professor of biology at George Washington University (GWU). The program at GWU runs a graduate program in his field of evolution jointly with the National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian. <ref name="featured-grad"/>

Tracey Temple (born 10 October 1962) was the diary secretary of the Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, John Prescott.
The Prescott affair
On 26 April 2006 Prescott admitted to a two year extra-marital affair between Temple and himself. On Saturday, 29 April 2006, Temple sold her story to the Mail on Sunday for over £250,000. In her interview she claimed that Mr Prescott "exploited power for his own sexual gratification". She also hired Max Clifford, a publicist.
Temple appeared in a tearful video statement for the Mail on Sunday where she recounted, in extracts from an alleged diary, how her friendly relationship with the 'DPM' developed into a full-fledged affair at his office's Christmas party in 2002. The relationship was consummated on a number of occasions in many of the grace-and-favour residences associated with his post.
"We made love in John's office" she said, "we were very lucky we never got caught". "If I was wearing a skirt, he would slide his hand up my leg, under it. He used to stroke my back." She told the paper that on one occasion that Prescott "got frisky" in the Admiralty Boardroom - described as a government conference room. "I went in to take some notes and he touched my breasts and starting kissing me."
In April 2002 Prescott surprised many observers by inviting Tracey to escort his wife Pauline to Westminster Hall for the State Opening of Parliament and in October 2003 Prescott attended the national service of remembrance at St Paul's Cathedral with his mistress to honour those British troops who had been killed at that stage of the Iraq war. Temple claimed she and Prescott had sex after the service. She also claimed regular sexual encounters took place in his office with the door open while other civil servants worked outside. She also alleged that Prescott would often interrupt official business to engage in sexual banter.
Aftermath
A boyfriend of Temple's, Barrie Williams, a lorry driver, was furious with her and Prescott and vented his anger by also going public and revealing further details of the affair.
As a result of the publicity, Temple was put on gardening leave for two months. On her return to work, Temple was sidelined with a low-key post at the University of Westminster.
A TV comedy Confessions of a Diary Secretary, based on the affair, was made by Daybreak Pictures and aired on ITV1 on 28 February 2007.

Introduction
With psychogeography easily defined as a playful examination of the total effects of geography and place on the individual,["the study of the precise laws and specific effects of the geographical environment, consciously organized or not, on the emotions and behavior of individuals." Guy Debord. Introduction to a Critique of Urban Geography, 1955] psychogeophysics extends such research to embrace geophysics , defined as the quantitative observation of the earth's physical properties, and its interaction with local spectral ecologies. Geophysics equally encompasses archaeological geophysics, with measurement of such properties allowing for the mapping of previous traces through techniques of particle/wave detection and data forensics.
This extension of psychogeography into geophysics implies a collision between interpretation (fiction) and measurement, with psychogeophysics proposed as a novel discipline that bridges any such distinction through the medium of code, and offers a speculative take on the future of code as an uncovering of its locative (diagnostic) potentials leading to a new phase of software studies.
History
The term "Psychogeophysics" was first used explicitly during a research group conducted as part of the
Transmediale.10 festival , Berlin in February 2010, entitled Topology of a Future City . Psychogeophysics names a direction in which many artists and researchers have explored in recent history.
Earlier events which could be billed as psychogeophysical avant-la-lettre include xxxxx-Peenemünde in
Peenemünde , Northern Germany (2008) , The Courier's Tragedy workshop in Newcastle (2009)
The first Psychogeophysics Summit will take place in early August 2010 in London, assembling an international group of artists, researchers and theorists to promote this novel discipline with a series of public oriented experimental workshops and seminars investigating various psychophysical fictions within East London.

Techniques
Psychogeophysics borrows techniques from EVP/ITC , classical psychogeography, archaeological geophysics , TEMPEST analysis and environmental steganography . These techniques include:
* excitation and measurement of various substrates
* provision of a carrier and its subsequent detection
* scrying (long-term analysis of geophysical indicators)
* data forensics/sedimentation
Although very much in its infancy new techniques suggested by psychogeophysics revolve around two core principles or methodologies: detection (in all its senses), and the pairing of excitation and subsequent measurement.
These techniques include:
* navigation by way of wide band signal intensities (for example, using simple detection devices to navigate towards parts of the city with lower measured signal strength)
* identification and exercise of sites of execution and memory (for example, measurement of impedance, and chemical properties of local substrates)
* rendering executable of city walks and locations (dot.walk)
