The Pathways World School, was established in August 2003 by the $10 million Sarla Group. The school obtained accreditation from the PYP, the International Baccalaureate Organisation of Geneva and Cardiff (UK) to offer its Diploma Programme and from the University of Cambridge Local Examinations, Syndicate for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education. It has been ranked 3rd Best School in Gurgaon by Hindustan Times and the 9th Most Respected and Admired International School in India and the Best in Terms of Infrastructure . Underpinning its interest in making ‘reasonably diverse’ business investments in the country’s education sector, Reliance Equity Advisors has bought a stake worth Rs 100 crore in Pathways World School. The school is also a authorised Cambridge International Centre. Over 200 schools in India are Cambridge International Centres.
Campus
Pathways World School is situated on the foothills of Aravali spread over an area of 5 lac sq.ft, about 25 kilometres from Delhi International Airport. Residential facilities are based on the model of a first-class British independent boarding school with professional staffing, comfortable study-bedrooms and catering of international standard. The architecture of the school, is designed by CP Kukreja. National and international experts led by world-renowned School Planner Mr. Prakash Nair from the USA developed the concept and plans for the school. They decided to name the school "Pathways" to represent Howard Gardner's multiple pathways to learning. Pathways offers the facility of weekly boarding, a trend that is catching up in India.
Academics
There are 130 members of the teaching faculty. The normal student strength per classroom varies from 20-25. The school offers the IB Primary Years Programme and IB Diploma Programme . There is universal radio networking and every student from Grades 7 to 12 use laptop computers. Facilities include seven laboratories, a spacious Library-Media-Centre, studios for Art, Music, Dance, Theatre and Craft-Design-Technology. Pathways World School received four invitations for its students to attend the US President swearing ceremony on the 20th of January 2009. The students were personally selected to attend the UPIC based on their leadership skills demonstrated at the Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC) at Washington and New York.

Children at Pathways select a number of activities, which they pursue at different times of the year.
The facilities include :
- Library-Media Centre not only features real books but also quiet story-telling corners and even a coffee bar where students can read and relax.
- Educational and adventure camps are part of the annual calendar and students from Grade 2 onwards go to explore, appreciate and connect with nature.
- Music, Dance & Theater.
- Interact Club. Pathways has adopted 7 schools in the neighbouring villages and has worked tirelessly to build a kitchen in one of the schools. The school has also set up computer labs in nearby village schools. This project aims at providing IT education to the village children.
To encourage Indian students to become lifelong learners, Pathways World School hosted a conference at New Delhi's Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry(FICCI).Educationists met at IBO Pathways Conference 2003 and an awareness was created about the International Baccalaureate Organisation's curriculum. Chief Minister of Delhi, Shiela Dixit, inaugurated the conference.

Pathways World School has an Olympic-size football field, a 400 meter track and a 25 meter pool and a well-equipped gym for the students. It also provide Chess, Carom, Pool, Badminton and Snooker during leisure time. Eight students of Pathways World School, Gurgaon were selected to represent India in the Penang International Junior Squash tournament from June 1 to 5, 2010 and The Milo All Star Junior Squash championship at Petaling Jaya Selangor in Malaysia from June 7 to 12, 2010. Pathways World School is the first International Baccalaureate affiliated board school from India to participate in this global tournament. Pathways World School, has a driving net, eight-hole putting green and 50-yard chipping area at its Aravali campus.
