Cronulla 2230 (also informally known as Cronulla Monopoly or Cronullaopoly) is the name of a Monopoly-styled board game. The game is set in the beachside suburb of Cronulla in the Sutherland Shire district of Australia and is themed on the Cronulla race riots of 2005 between White youths and ethnic Arabs. The "2230" of the title refers to the Cronulla postcode.

The object of the game is to "become the wealthiest person in the Sutherland Shire through the buying, renting, and selling of property" in order to fund far-right organisations such as the Australia First Party and the Patriotic Youth League "so they can get into parliament and Win Back Australia!"

The Australia First Party denies any role in creating Cronulla 2230, despite promoting the game on their website and stating that the game "seems to have emerged as a response to the problems of the multiculti (sic) sickness that has gripped Australia." 1

The board game only exists as a set of downloadable pdf files and was originally hosted by the US-based Angelfire website. Players need to print out, cut and laminate the pdf files. The rules are similar to Monopoly, with houses, hotels and title DEEDS for properties (being streets in Cronulla). Penalty squares require players to pay money to either the Patriotic Youth League, Australia First Party or 'The Shire Boyz'. 'Aussie Luck' cards serve as Community Chess and Chance cards, and include racially divisive events like:

    • Lebos slander Aussie bikini-clad beauties by calling them sluts. Pay $10
    • Chinese gangs selling [...] openly on street corners. Pay $25
    • Campaign against Aussie companies being sold overseas. Collect $30
    • Vaccinations made compulsory for all Third World immigrants. Collect $50

On October 16 2006 New South Wales Premier Morris Iemma released a statement condeming the game, calling it divisive, insulting and that it encourages people to engage in violence, "It is garbage and it belongs in the bin". Iemma has sought for the Commonwealth government, which is responsible for regulating Internet content, to shut the site down or block access.

However, on October 18, 2006, Angelfire decided to remove hosting for the Cronulla 2230 board game following complaints by anti-racist activist groups such as Fight Dem Back due to violation of Angelfire's Terms of Service prohibiting racially objectionable material. 2

Cronulla 2230 has since been hosted by different domains, such as "downundernewslinks.com" 3
