Album history
Post Do What You Feel pre Say A Prayer, Khanoda co-founded a thrash metal band Armed n Dangerous along with bassist E. Patrick in late 1988; following Khanoda’s return from touring Germany to promote "Feel" the summer of that same year. Although he wasn't the vocalist for the band, Khanoda wrote or co-wrote most of their material. "SCUM," the band’s first and last album, was a conceptual piece based on the 1979 Alan Clarke film of the same name which starred Ray Winstone and was the brainchild of lead vocalist Brandon Rafferty who was a British film buff. Weeks following the album's release, A n D disbanded due to constant in-fighting and tumultuous antics and outbursts on stage, caused entirely by its founding members who were secretly dating each other at the time. Following the breakup of both the band and Khanoda and Patrick, A n D was offered a recording deal from Road Runner Records however, no one who was part of the band was interested to get back together. Although a vast departure musically, Khanoda demonstrated the ability to transcend musical boundaries on "SCUM" which would later reflect in his future efforts as both a conceptual artist and theme driven songwriter.
