The GMA Network in the Philippines has used the following logos at various times:
Early GMA Network logos
When the triumvirate of Felipe Gozon, Menandro Jimenez, and Gilberto Duavit took over the network in 1974, the station changed its name from Republic Broadcasting System (RBS) to GMA, although RBS remained its corporate name until 1996.
"GMA" stood for BOUNDARIES of the station's primary coverage, the Greater Manila Area, which had a bigger concentration of television sets than any other part of the country. "Radio-Television Arts" underlined its commitment to the arts of the twin media. By targeting Greater Manila's sophisticates first, the station executives knew they could lure the rural folk because the latter always identified with their city cousins.
==Where You Belong==
The station later acquired a slogan, "Where You Belong", to remove its poor image as a home for re-runs and kiddie shows. The first logo with the slogan included a "circle 7 logo" to identify its channel designation in Metro Manila. The circle 7 logo was removed in the 1980s, and the font of the "Where You Belong" slogan changed throughout the period.
==Rainbow Network==
When the station inaugurated its Rainbow Satellite in 1992, GMA replaced its logo to a rainbow with a satellite at the end. In 1996, after introducing a new station ID and after the network changed its corporate name to GMA Network Inc., the logo was simplified and the satellite was removed.
"Kapuso" Network
In 2002, the GMA Network engaged in a rebranding program in line with its goal to become the leader in providing local news and entertainment. It changed its logo and slogans to reflect its new corporate identity but still incorporating its identity as the "Rainbow Network". The new brand consists of a red, stylized heart logo, with a band of different colors representing the rainbow. In tune with the new logo, the new slogan is "Kapuso, Anumang Kulay ng Buhay" ("One in Heart, Regardless of the Colors of Life").
