Harmeek Singh (born 26 October 1973), is an Indian-born entrepreneur based in the United Arab Emirates. He is the founder and chairman of Plan b Group, a Dubai-based events and advertising agency established in 2004. Under his leadership, Plan b Group has grown into a multinational company operating across six countries and three continents. Singh has organized major international events including three editions of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup including the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in the UAE and community initiatives such as the Dubai Women's Run. Singh was awarded the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Award in the Media & Entertainment category in 2017.
Biography
Singh was born on 26 October 1973 in Amritsar, Punjab, India. His father owned a company that manufactured and sold electronic products in India. His mother helped expand the family business across Asia. Singh grew up in Delhi, where he developed interests in cricket, football, and English literature.
He completed his schooling at Guru Nanak Public School, Punjabi Bagh, in 1991, and subsequently studied English Literature at Khalsa College, University of Delhi. In 2021, he was conferred an Honorary Doctorate by the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration.
In mid 1990s, Singh's parents relocated to New Zealand. Singh subsequently ventured into entrepreneurship in Delhi and later relocated to Dubai in 2003.
Career
Early career in Dubai
In 2003, Singh relocated to Dubai, where his younger sister was living. He worked for a printing company Color Blind for ten months. He subsequently worked for an Australia-based company operating in the UAE's free zone, before transitioning to freelance work in advertising and printing.
Plan b Group
In 2004, Singh founded Plan b in Dubai, initially focusing on printing. In 2017 Plan b Group consisted of eight subsidiaries: Plan b Advertising, Plan b Events, SiO2 Events (a boutique events agency), bSocial (a PR and social media arm), Next Door (a sports management company), bDecor (an interior design company), bMovies (a digital media and technology company), and bCreative (a boutique creative agency).
Plan b Group was involved in organizing the 2019 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in the UAE, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2024 in Dubai, and the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup 2025 in the Seychelles. For the 2025 edition, Plan b Group was honoured by Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan.
Other roles
Since 2017, Singh has served as Strategic Director of the UAE Athletics Federation. He is also head of the Crisis Committee of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) Middle East Chapter, and serves as Chairman for Visit St. Petersburg for the Middle East region.
Singh has led community events including the Dubai Women's Run (since 2016), She Runs, and Cancer Run, and serves as chairman of the Dubai Women's Run and Women of Substance initiative. He serves on the Global Sikh Foundation and participated in its flood relief operations in Punjab, India, in 2025.
