Julia Marta Szpak (born 13 October 2004) is a Polish taekwondo practitioner. Competing mainly in the 62 kg and 67 kg weight classes, she represents Poland internationally. She won a bronze medal in the women's 62 kg event at the 2026 European Taekwondo Championships.
Career
Szpak won a silver medal in the cadet 55 kg category at the 2018 Polish Open in Warsaw. In 2020, she won a bronze medal in the junior 55 kg category at the German Open in Hamburg.
In 2021, Szpak won a silver medal in the junior 59 kg category at the Polish Open in Warsaw. The same year, she competed in the 59 kg event at the European Junior Taekwondo Championships in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She defeated Fatma Majidova 17–2 before losing 22–1 to Belgium's Sarah Chaâri in the quarter-finals.
In 2022, she competed in the 62 kg event at the European Under-21 Taekwondo Championships in Tirana, Albania. She defeated Stefania Christoforidi in the first round and Turkey's Beyza Karabulut in the round of 16, both by 2–0, before losing 2–0 to Helena Kicema in the quarter-finals.
In 2023, Szpak competed in the 62 kg event at the 2023 World Taekwondo Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, where she lost 2–0 to the United States' Faith Dillon in her opening bout. The same year, she represented Poland in the women's 62 kg event at the 2023 European Games, defeating Csenge Patakfalvy 2–0 in the round of 16 before losing 2–0 to Great Britain's Aaliyah Powell in the quarter-finals. She also won a bronze medal in the 62 kg event at the Albania Open in Tirana. At the European Under-21 Taekwondo Championships in Bucharest, she defeated Beatriz Vieira and Marija Orlović before losing 2–0 to Miljana Reljikiḱ in the quarter-finals.
In 2024, Szpak won a silver medal in the 62 kg event at the Skopje Open. At the 2024 European Taekwondo Championships in Belgrade, she defeated Marija Orlović 2–1 in her first bout before losing 2–0 to Greece's Theopoula Sarvanaki in the round of 16. She also won a silver medal at the European Clubs Championships in Tirana and a bronze medal at the Polish Open in Warsaw. At the European Under-21 Championships in Sarajevo, she defeated Andrea Berisaj and Antreana Achilleos before losing 2–0 to Ela Marić in the round of 16. The same year, she won a bronze medal in the 62 kg event at the European Universities Games in Miskolc while representing AZS AWF Warszawa. She defeated Spain's Maialen Renteria Perez in the quarter-finals and lost to Andrea Komatina in the semi-finals.
In 2025, Szpak won a bronze medal in the 62 kg event at the Serbia Open in Belgrade. She competed in the 67 kg event at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix Challenge in Charlotte, defeating Isuangelis Soto Castillo 2–0 before losing 2–0 to Spain's Lena Moreno Reyes in the round of 16. At the 2025 Summer World University Games in Essen, Germany, she competed in the 62 kg event; she defeated South Korea's Kim Yumin 2–0 and lost 2–0 to Thailand's Sasikarn Tongchan in the quarter-finals, finishing fifth. She won a silver medal in the 67 kg event at the Multi European Games in Niš, Serbia, where she defeated Ines Doković 2–0 in the semi-finals and lost 2–0 to Greece's Styliani Marentaki in the final. At the 2025 World Taekwondo Championships in Wuxi, China, she reached the quarter-finals of the 62 kg event after defeating Danica Deaton and Czech athlete Petra Štolbová, both by 2–0, before losing 2–0 to Tunisia's Wafa Masghouni. At the World Under-21 Taekwondo Championships in Nairobi, Kenya, she lost 2–1 to Anastasiia Bannova in her opening bout.
In 2026, Szpak won the gold medal in the 62 kg event at the Austrian Open in Innsbruck. At the 2026 European Taekwondo Championships in Munich, Germany, she won a bronze medal in the women's 62 kg event. After receiving a bye in the first round, she defeated Ukraine's Nataliia Kozlova 2–0 in the round of 16 and Germany's Kim Vivian Habulin 2–0 in the quarter-finals. She lost 2–0 to Hungary's Viviana Márton in the semi-finals and finished the tournament in third place.
