Moment of Youth (or M.O.Y.) was one of only a few hardcore punk bands to ever come out of the Washington DC suburb of Columbia, MD since Void (band). The bands sound was influenced heavily by early 1980's Washington DC hardcore. The band stirred up some controversy in Columbia, MD with their song "CA" denouncing the Columbia Association. They released three records, toured and received Critical Acclaim in respected punk zines such as Maximum Rock N' Roll and Razorcake, 1. They formed in 2001 and disbanded in February of 2005.
